![]() I LOVE our playful bold colors at As You See It #327 this round! These condos totally reminded me of the fun row houses you see in beach towns - so I went straight for my Beach Day set! Since I was limited by our colors, I chose a few key items that I knew would look great in them, and I left the "beach" part in black and white, lol. So fun to arrange a cozy little fun day at the beach with my pieces! I floated it all over this sunny sheet of Daffodil Delight DSP, and finished with a few Shiny Sequins - bring on the rays! I can't wait to see what YOU make of our fun colors - meet you at the challenge! Beach Day Stamp Set; Daffodil Delight DSP; Basic White & Basic Black CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Granny Apple Green Inks; Blueberry Bushel, Daffodil Delight & Granny Apple Green Blends Markers; Beach Day & Stylish Shapes Dies; Yellow Shiny Sequins; #AYSI327. ![]() Summer Fun Card Class July 13! ![]() Wow, there's a super cute sketch this round at AAA Cards #268! I had to really dig to tackle this one, lol. I started by looking through my current stamp sets, hunting for a "shape" I could use for the background. Not many! I finally hit on Bee My Valentine - I could use the bee body! And that's just what I did. I did a fun stamped-off collage in pale colors, turning the shape vertical a bit, too. Then I built a full-strength bee and used my Bee Builder Punch to assemble him! The simple sentiment seemed just right to me, and I finished with my last three tiny Daffodil hearts - love how this came out! Bee My Valentine Stamp Set; Basic White CS; Lemon Lolly, Lemon Lime Twist, Petal Pink, Daffodil Delight & Memento Tuxedo Black Inks; Bee Builder Punch; Adhesive-Backed Hearts & Flowers; #AAA268. ![]() Such a glorious inspiration pic at this round's Time Out Challenge #266! It reminds me of Nova Scotia! I totally had to go back to my High Tide set from 2021 for this one, but I wanted to lighten the background more for this glorious inspiration pic! I pulled a sheet from our lovely Thoughtful Journey DSP pack, one of the "flip sides" had this beautiful wash that looked just like water to me! I stamped my lighthouse on a central medallion, floated over some first-run Misty Moonlight DSP, and added the sentiment in the corner. I finished with some of my beloved Whale of a Time Sequins, lol. I'm loving how light and airy this came out! High Tide Stamp Set (retired 2021); Thoughtful Journey & Misty Moonlight DSP; Basic White CS; Smoky Slate, Real Red, Crumb Cake, Granny Apple Green & Misty Moonlight Inks; Layering Ovals Dies (retired); Whale of a Time Sequins (retired); #TOC266. ![]() Woo hoo! We are here to bring you Christmas in July at Retro Rubber #234! Let's hear your jingle bells! Well, too many of my teamies jumped on the car-with-a-tree-on-the -roof theme - I just HAD to join in, lol! I knew right away that I would pull my old White Christmas set for it - one of my earliest photopolymer sets! I was a bit flabbergasted to realize this set is from 2014 - already 10 years old! Time sure flies, lol. Anyway, I quickly stamped a pretty snowy woods scene, with a couple of cardinals supervising. I stamped and colored my station wagon on some scrap, so I could fussy cut it and pop it up - love adding dimension! The scene seemed a perfect one to float over this merry DSP from the retired Merry Bold & Bright pack - one of my favorites ever! I can't WAIT to see your Christmas in July projects - and don't forget to make it Retro! White Christmas Stamp Set (retired 2014); Merry Bold & Bright DSP (retired); Basic White CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Poppy Parade, Basic Black, Pool Party, Shaded Spruce & Crumb Cake Blends Markers; Rectangle Stitched Dies; #RRCB234. ![]() Time for a new Sparkles Christmas Challenge #162, which is all about ornaments this round! Now, how to combine that with Make My Monday #229's ice cream or cocktails challenge?? OK, it might be a stretch, but I think I found a way! We once threw a tree trimming party - it was so fun! We love to get SUPER tall Christmas trees here, that go all the way up to our second floor balcony in foyer, lol. This is plenty of real estate to have friends and neighbors over to help cover! We offered two or three cocktails, and yummy snacks, and kicked off the season in good company! I think it might be time to do it again, lol. Anyway, I did a stamped-off ornament background, with two champagne glasses clinking in the foreground - ornaments AND cocktails! Woo hoo! I hope you can join in on the fun at either (or both!) challenges this round - meet you there! Decorated With Happiness (retired 2022) & Sip Sip Hooray (retired 2019) Stamp Sets; Basic White, Shaded Spruce & Real Red CS; Shaded Spruce, Memento Tuxedo Black, Real Red, Encore Gold & Versamark Inks; White EP; Stylish Shapes & Sip & Celebrate (retired) Dies; Wonderful Gems; #SCC162; #MMM229. ![]() Very fun - Aloha Friday Challenge #11 wants to see something masculine! I decided to pull out my Legendary Ride set - I so love it, lol. I also still have quite a bit of the equally awesome Ready to Ride DSP, and I really wanted to feature it! I landed on this cool sheet of riders' gear that I don't think I've used before. I made a quick background, then fussy cut a jacket to pop up. I couldn't resist this sentiment to go with - just seems to fit with all the leather, lol. I did stamp a simple Happy Birthday inside, too... This ended up being a real quick card! Legendary Ride Stamp Set; Ready to Ride DSP (retired); Very Vanilla & Basic Black CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Pretty Pillowbox Dies; Matte Black Dots; #AFC11. ![]() Time for Critter Crazy Challenge #87 - what shall we pick?? I decided to look over the shelves of retirement, and came across 2021's Snailed It set - can't even REMEMBER the last time I used it, lol. I still have lots of the coordinating DSP, too - it's a little embarrassing just how much, lol. Anyway, I put together my "quick" snail hello (see what I did there??) I did a panel of this mail-focused background sheet over some Bermuda Bay, then did this little mail carrier chugging by - so cute! I also decided that the Hearts & Flowers embellies go great with these colors, too - just the right touch of bling! Snailed It Stamp Set (retired 2021); Snail Mail DSP (retired); Basic White, Pool Party & Bermuda Bay (retired) CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Real Red Ink; Pool Party & Real Red Blends Markers; Snail (retired) & Stylish Shapes Dies; Hearts & Flowers Embellishments; #CCC87. ![]() So glad to have a new chance to play at NBUS #63 - I always have quite the stack of new toys to play with! I dug really deep this time, and pulled out a set of Tim Holtz dies I got on Amazon about 6 years ago, I think, lol. I somehow spotted them, and being from Arizona, HAD to have them! This set is called Funky Cactus, and it sure IS funky, lol. This is the only Tim Holtz set I have, so playing with all the dimension and layers was VERY new for me, lol. So many choices, and I even left one cactus off! Even the POTS are all two layers, lol. Anyway, I had me a paper-fest today, and matched it with a sentiment from our Flowering Cactus set from 2021. I LOVE how it came out! I can see myself keeping an eye out for more fun dies from him, lol... Flowering Cactus Stamp Set (retired 2021); Basic White, Lemon Lime Twist, Granny Apple Green, Pumpkin Pie, Peach Cobbler, Mossy Meadow, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral, Flirty Flamingo, Lemon Lolly, Copper Clay, Cajun Craze & Pecan Pie C; Memento Tuxedo Black, Lemon Lime Twist & Daffodil Delight Inks; Tim Holtz Funky Cactus Dies; Green Shiny Sequins; #NBUS63. ![]() Pumpkin Club June 29 at 2 PM! Another fun one from Shopping Our Stash #524 - "button, button, who's got the button!" It just so happens that I recently unburied all my old button collections we used to have at SU! - shocking how many I still have, lol. In my brights collection, I had almost all the Melon Mambo ones, in three sizes! I thought right away of how well this would go with our gorgeous Flowering Zinnias DSP, and quickly came up with this simple layout! I layered a panel of the brightest floral sheet over Melon Mambo, and then crossed it with this happy, and long, sentiment - it really pops! After adding some White Baker's Twine ties, I added one each of the three sizes of buttons. Fast and simple - yay! Simply Zinnia Stamp Set; Flowering Zinnias DSP; Basic White & Melon Mambo CS; Melon Mambo Ink; Rectangle Stitched Dies; Melon Mambo Buttons (retired); White Baker's Twine; #SOS524. ![]() Pumpkin Club June 29 at 2 PM! If You Give a Crafter a Cookie #193 has the cutest "you are my sunshine" theme this month! So, I really cobbled together a LOT of little things to get this card, lol. I started by scrounging around for some sunny papers, AND some clouds! My main background is from my old SAB pack of Sunshine & Rainbows from a couple years ago, and I snagged a couple gray clouds from the just-past SAB Sunny Days pack. So lucky I had all this sunny paper! Next I went through some old Paper Pumpkin sets - we've had a couple sunny themes there, too! I can across my favorite tribal-looking sun from the June 2020 Box of Sunshine kit, and this sentiment is from July 2023's Fun in the Sun kit. It's like they were all made for each other, though, lol. I finished with a few Shiny Sequins for sparkle! Box of Sunshine (June 2020) & Fun in the Sun (July 2023) Paper Pumpkins; Sunshine & Rainbows and Sunny Days DSP; Basic White, Basic Gray & Crushed Curry CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Yellow Shiny Sequins; #Cookie193. ![]() Pumpkin Club June 29 at 2 PM!
