Ah ha - time for a new critter challenge at Critter Crazy #86! Yay! I'm back again at my awesome stash of Scan-n-Cut critters from my old pack of Zoo Crew DSP - so hard to resist! These little piping frogs, for example, daunted even MY love for fussy cutting, so it was amazing that the machine pulled them all out for me! There were so many, I decided to put together a quintet! Super cute with them all facing all different ways, too - and of course playing the birthday song! Just love it! Zany Zoo Stamp Set (retired); Zoo Crew DSP (retired); Basic White & Basic Black CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Lemon Lime Twist Tinsel Gems; #Critters86. Pumpkin Club May 25 at 2 PM! Such a fun one from Time Out Challenge #263 - Alphabet Magnet Day! This should be a riot, lol. I decided to do some bright letters against a black background, and after I changed my mind on making a big letter jumble with something profound floating over that, lol, I came up with adding an alphabet to our gorgeous Unbounded Love stamp set! It already has the call-out words in it - I just had to pick a good combo! I went with the "faith" pair, though I think there are several phrases that could go with this one, and I used my retired Playful Alphabet dies - still love this font! At the last second, I embossed my background with my old Alphabet Press EF, too, the more letters the merrier! Unbounded Love Stamp Set; Basic White, Basic Black, Poppy Parade, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green & Azure Afternoon CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Alphabet Press EF (retired); Unbounded Love & Playful Alphabet (retired (dies); White Enamel Dot Essentials; #TOC263. Yay! New month, time for a new NBUS #62! SO many new goodies to play with! I've actually had a few stamp sets sitting on my desk for a bit, waiting for some ink! The Textured Timber set from our Online Exclusives looked so cool - and then I didn't use it, lol. Well, today's the day! I did one long plank along one side, and then smudged it a bit with a Blender Pen! I also snuck in the very cool Beside Me set - this one has actually been around a while, but it took me a while to come around to it, but it DOES make for great guy cards! I had fun coloring this seaside duo, and figuring out a layout that would fit everything in! Good times! Beside Me & Textured Timber Stamp Sets; Basic White, Early Espresso & Crumb Cake CS; Early Espresso Ink; SU900, Misty Moonlight, Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler, Daffodil Delight & Balmy Blue Blends Markers; Blender Pen; Nested Essentials & Stylish Shapes Dies; Linen Thread; Rustic Metallic Dots; #NBUS62. I am REALLY liking Shopping Our Stash #521's theme - "water water everywhere!" I turned again to my amazing Under The Moon set for this one - I just can't resist that big reflection ocean to play with, and the different ways to color that moon! I went landscape this time, too - everything fits perfectly this way, and it inspired me to add some clouds to either side of the moon, too! I cut a quick mask from a sticky note before adding the clouds - perfect! I also broke out the dolphins this time - you can see they're having fun! I added my sentiment, and floated it all over this first-run DSP of Misty Moonlight - I love the look of the texture on this side! Under The Moon & Unbounded Love Stamp Sets; Misty Moonlight DSP (retired); Basic White CS; Balmy Blue, Misty Moonlight, Calypso Coral, Crushed Curry & Smoky Slate Inks; Misty Moonlight Tinsel Gems; #SOS521. We have a stunning image collection for your inspiration this round at Hand Stamped Sentiments #438! These beautiful colors and the leaves reminded me so much of our new Frames & Flowers Specialty DSP that I knew I needed to use that for today's card! The scripture quote from Revelations cinched that I'd add some scripture, too - yay! I chose this verse from Psalm 34, and finished with the diecut pieces from the DSP pack, along with some tiny silver pearls - I LOVE how it came out! I can't wait to see YOUR choices from our lovely inspo board this round - meet you at the challenge! Stamp Simply Blessings/Beatitudes 1 Stamp Set; Frames & Flowers DSP; Basic White, Lost Lagoon & Soft Sea Foam CS; Early Espresso Ink; Rectangle Stitched Dies; Silver Pearls; #HSS438. Lol, I am tickled by Cardz 4 Guyz #346's "welcome to the jungle" theme! This one was almost a stumper for me - I hadn't really thought that I didn't have much "jungle" stuff, lol. I thought at first I'd go with our just-retired Little Monkey set, but there were already enough monkeys! I liked the rhino, too, but... then I remembered my lion image from the Zoo Crew DSP - yay! Hubby got me a very cool Scan-N-Cut machine for my birthday, and the very first DSP sheets I ran through were from this pack - I've been hoarding them just for this! I have fussy cut so many of these critters - it was crazy to see a whole sheet get cut all at once! So I get to use this awesome lion right away! I matched him with this fun jungle-y sheet from the Forever Greenery pack, and added this sentiment from Rhino Ready - a little bit of everything! Rhino Ready Stamp Set; Zoo Crew & Forever Greenery DSP (both retired); Basic White & Crumb Cake CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Cajun Craze & Daffodil Delight Blends Markers; Stylish Shapes Dies; Pretty Peacock Foiled Gems; #C4G346. Oh wow, I'm loving our gorgeous muted colors this round at Sunday Stamps #335! I decided to try these colors with our gorgeous Country Flowers set this round - I thought if I used my Water Painters, I could get even more of a soft wash, too, and I love how it came out! When I looked over the greens, they looked like my fave retired Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen, so I used those, along with Petal Pink in a blended background, Calypso Coral and Highland Heather. I went for a CAS look today, though I did tousle on some Gold Thread behind my teapot, lol. Had to have a BIT of sparkle, lol. Anyway, a pretty little card for a friend! I can't wait to see what YOU make of our pretty colors - meet you at the challenge! Country Flowers Stamp Set; Basic White CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Soft Succulent (retired), Evening Evergreen (retired), Calypso Coral, Petal Pink & Highland Heather Inks; Blending Brush; Water Painter; Country Flowers Dies; Gold Metallic Thread; #SSC335. So excited that I can squeak in to this round of Farm Quest Challenge #51! The theme is laundry or ironing, lol! I'm not much of an ironer, lol, but I remember fondly those times in my life I hung out laundry - what a way to do sheets! Really great for collared shirts, too, once you learn a couple tricks! Anyway, I thought right away of this one, even though stuff on hangers is cheating! These cute onesies are from my old jumbo wheel, Baby Tees, from 2010 - still adorable! These cuties spoiled me for almost all other onesies SU! has ever produced, lol. After a couple experiments on inking it up, I was rolling away (thank goodness I don't have to show a pic of my hands after this, it's embarrassing, lol! I might have made a bit of a mess!) Anyway, I had fun coloring these up, and floated them over this pink cloudy sky - breezy day for laundry! Baby Tees Jumbo Wheel (retired 2010) and Cuddles & Kisses Stamp Set (retired 2013); Lighter Than Air DSP; Basic White & Crumb Cake CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Daffodil Delight, Lemon Lime Twist, Balmy Blue, Smoky Slate, Daffodil Delight & Fresh Freesia Blends Markers; Pretty Pillowbox Dies; Linen Thread; Petal Pink Foiled Gems; #FQCB51. Yum! We have a tasty recipe for you to try this round at As You See It #323! White, black and one other color is a really classic color challenge, how cool that we're adding dies and texture, too! So, what a great way to show off a new In Color, too - and so far, my favorite is Summer Sky, lol - can you tell? This is the only In Color ribbon I got this time, and it was fun to make up these playful paint brushes in the inks! They really pop against that textured Basic Black background, too! I haven't played as much with Trusty Tools as I normally would - for some reason I've been putting it off for Man Cards next month, lol, but that little paint brush, I just can't resist! Love how this came out! I can't wait to see what YOU cook up with our recipe this round - meet you at the challenge! Trusty Tools Stamp Set; Basic White, Basic Black & Summer Sky CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Summer Sky Inks; Trusty Tools & Tailor Made Tags (retired) Dies; Metal Plate EF; Summer Sky Bordered Ribbon; Summer Sky Resin Dots; #AYSI323. Nice - Cupcake Inspirations #593 has a vibrant color challenge for us this round - yum! I thought at first I'd do some crazy flowers for this one, but so close to the catalog rolling over, I didn't really see any sets I liked for it, lol. BUT, I spotted the rain boots in my Garden Meadow set - I can't believe I've never used them before! Don't they look cute in these bright colors?? I dug through my scrap folders, and found this dotty sheet of Flirty Flamingo for a background, so I layered it up on Pumpkin Pie with a layer of White in between to set them apart. I actually found this sentiment already stamped and cut in my dies - I think leftover from a class, lol. It still works! I next stamped and colored three pairs of wellies - in Flirty Flamingo, Pumpkin Pie and Poppy Parade - I think it's growing on me! I left the little white trimmings alone to pop against the colors! What a fun card! Garden Meadow Stamp Set; Flirty Flamingo DSP; Basic White & Pumpkin Pie CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Flirty Flamingo, Pumpkin Pie & Poppy Parade Blends Markers; Garden Meadows & Tasteful Labels (retired) Dies; Pumpkin Pie Baker's Twine; Orange Shiny Sequins; #CIC593.
