![]() Ah ha! Time Out Challenge #267 has a great theme for July - "seeing stars!" While I was initially thinking Independence Day, lol, I quickly switched over to Christmas - I can't help but think of our still-gorgeous-but-retired O Holy Night DSP, which has so many starry sky scenes in it. I chose this one that also has a bit of desert, and added my star sentiment above. I wet back to my Night in Bethlehem set from 2019 for this image of the holy couple on their journey - a great match to the paper, I think! I finished with a few of my tiny Adhesive-Backed Stars, just because, lol. Night in Bethlehem (retired 2019) & Night Divine (retired 2024) Stamp Sets; O Holy Night DSP (retired); Basic White & Misty Moonlight CS; Misty Moonlight Ink; Bethlehem & Stitched Shapes Dies (both retired); Adhesive-Backed Stars; #TOC267.

![]() Woo hoo! We are here to bring you Christmas in July at Retro Rubber #234! Let's hear your jingle bells! Well, too many of my teamies jumped on the car-with-a-tree-on-the -roof theme - I just HAD to join in, lol! I knew right away that I would pull my old White Christmas set for it - one of my earliest photopolymer sets! I was a bit flabbergasted to realize this set is from 2014 - already 10 years old! Time sure flies, lol. Anyway, I quickly stamped a pretty snowy woods scene, with a couple of cardinals supervising. I stamped and colored my station wagon on some scrap, so I could fussy cut it and pop it up - love adding dimension! The scene seemed a perfect one to float over this merry DSP from the retired Merry Bold & Bright pack - one of my favorites ever! I can't WAIT to see your Christmas in July projects - and don't forget to make it Retro! White Christmas Stamp Set (retired 2014); Merry Bold & Bright DSP (retired); Basic White CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Poppy Parade, Basic Black, Pool Party, Shaded Spruce & Crumb Cake Blends Markers; Rectangle Stitched Dies; #RRCB234. ![]() Time for a new Sparkles Christmas Challenge #162, which is all about ornaments this round! Now, how to combine that with Make My Monday #229's ice cream or cocktails challenge?? OK, it might be a stretch, but I think I found a way! We once threw a tree trimming party - it was so fun! We love to get SUPER tall Christmas trees here, that go all the way up to our second floor balcony in foyer, lol. This is plenty of real estate to have friends and neighbors over to help cover! We offered two or three cocktails, and yummy snacks, and kicked off the season in good company! I think it might be time to do it again, lol. Anyway, I did a stamped-off ornament background, with two champagne glasses clinking in the foreground - ornaments AND cocktails! Woo hoo! I hope you can join in on the fun at either (or both!) challenges this round - meet you there! Decorated With Happiness (retired 2022) & Sip Sip Hooray (retired 2019) Stamp Sets; Basic White, Shaded Spruce & Real Red CS; Shaded Spruce, Memento Tuxedo Black, Real Red, Encore Gold & Versamark Inks; White EP; Stylish Shapes & Sip & Celebrate (retired) Dies; Wonderful Gems; #SCC162; #MMM229. ![]() Such a fun blue combo over at In{k}spire Me #536 this week - cool grid layout, too! I tried to sneak in both sides of this challenge equation, AND keep it a regular greeting card shape - hope it works, lol. I honored the grid layout with the upcoming Iconic Imagery set - coming your way soon as our latest release of Online Exclusives! I thought this snowflake would be just the right size, frankly, lol. I built this basic Merry Christmas with our also upcoming Greetings of the Season - which has SO much more you can do, AND fabulous new tag dies (which I naturally didn't use today, lol.) For my extra color, I added Smoky Slate, for a sort of silvery effect - I think it goes SO well with these blues! Iconic Imagery & Greetings of the Season Stamp Sets; Night of Navy DSP (retired); Basic White CS; Night of Navy, Balmy Blue & Smoky Slate Inks; Iconic Imagery Dies; Smoky Slate Pearls; #IMC536. ![]() Pumpkin Club June 29 at 2 PM! I really wanted to make a Christmas card today, so I went looking on that shelf first for likely stamps to use. I think I hit the jackpot with 2021's Frosted Gingerbread - THIS is the way to play "any shape," lol. I used this fun sentiment from Festive & Fun, as well, just the right size, and I love mixed fonts! I wish I could make such pretty cookies in real life, lol. A festive set I haven't used in a while is the yummy Sweet Candy Canes - I even still have some of the DSP! I definitely wanted to do TWO canes, and I wanted them to contrast with the background, so I planned my choices accordingly, lol. When I look at my "current" stamp shelves, I only have three Christmas sets that AREN'T retiring/retired, lol. Yikes! One of them is Merriest Trees, which thrills me! I got to thinking that this would be a fun one in one of our outgoing In Colors, too, so the Orchid Tree is born! I'm actually loving the look - I floated my stamped off with full strength details tree over a panel of Smoky Slate, and then added MORE details in Silver - what a looker! This pretty sentiment floats over all of that, and I finished with some tiny Rhinestones. So much sparkle feels really festive to me!
