![]() Time for another recipe challenge from this week's As You See It #251! These are so fun! So, it was a bit of a crush getting it all on there, but I think I made it! Starting with "birthday" and "patterned paper," I KNEW I had to use the Sweet Ice Cream suite, lol. I somehow focused on a popsicle, which I fussy cut, and realized at the last second that technically, I hadn't used a die - oops! So out came my trusty Happy Birthday die for my sentiment, and I even squeezed in some ribbon of the popsicle stick, lol. Thank goodness for the gold heat embossed speckles on the pop - that pushed me over the finish line! Sweet Ice Cream Stamp Set; Ice Cream Corner DSP; Basic White & Blackberry Bliss CS; Calypso Coral, Blackberry Bliss, Cinnamon Cider & Versamark Inks; Gold EP; Happy Birthday Die; Gilded Gems; #AYSI251. ![]() Man Cards 2021 Class One 12 at 3 PM! ![]() The Sisterhood of Crafters has a "flowers as the focus" theme this week - what a great idea! I totally knew I was going to go back to my gorgeous new Pansy Patch set, and THIS time, I get to play with the DSP - Pansy Petals! The pack has a few sheets with tons of ready made and colored images to choose from, that work perfectly with the amazing die set that comes with the bundle. These sheets are also perfect inspiration for ink combos to try when we want to play more with the stamps - so many yummy and unexpected pairings! I picked out a few of my faves for today's pansy-forward card, and just had to add one of our beautiful gold Bumblebee Trinkets to go with. The perfect finishing touch! Pansy Patch Stamp Set; Pansy Petals DSP; Basic White & Evening Evergreen CS; Evening Evergreen Ink; Pansy & Stitched Shapes (retired) Dies; Bumblebee Trinkets; #TSOCFlowerFocus. ![]() We have such a fun sketch for us to play with this week at Sunday Stamps #258! I especially love the inclusion of those magic words "any shape!" I always take that as a mission to find something as funky as possible, lol. In today's case, I settled on some elegant seashells to fit the bill, over the gorgeous Sand & Sea DSP - still swoon! I let the paper do the talking today, and finished with a few Opal Rounds for fun! I can't wait to see YOUR projects (and shapes!) over at the challenge! Friends Are Like Seashells Stamp Set; Sand & Sea DSP; Basic White & Melon Mambo CS; Versamark, Sahara Sand, Crumb Cake & Petal Pink Inks; White EP; Seaside Seashells Dies; Opal Rounds; #SSC258. ![]() Oh goody! It feels like it's been ages since I've gotten to do a tic-tac-toe - so glad Retro Rubber #158 has one for us! As usual, I scanned the squares first for a starting point. Maybe because I'm hungry, the one that most jumped out at me was "cake," lol. From there, it was an easy choice to go with the horizontal from there - cake, heat-embossing, flowers. And I knew right away what set I wanted to use! I have always loved this gorgeous cake in LAST year's Sale-a-Bration set, Happy Birthday to You, and we even eventually got some cool dies to play with as well - can we call that the icing on the cake? Yes, we can! I brought in some Purple Posy, since I'm just not ready to say goodby to that yet, either, heat embossed in gold, and colored everything up in some soft Blends. I just love it! Happy Birthday to You Stamp Set (retired 2020); Basic White & Purple Posy (retired) CS; Versamark & Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Gold EP; Purple Posy, Soft Sea Foam, So Saffron, Crumb Cake & Smoky Slate Blends Markers; Birthday Dies; Gold Glitter Enamel Dots; #RRCB158. ![]() I really like this month's challenge at The Male Room #150 - a "water or beach" theme! Perfect! I couldn't help but turn back to my beloved Whale Done set, and of course, the gorgeous-but-now-retired DSP! Seriously, I know I've said it before, but I think this is my all-time fave DSP ever, lol. Anyway, I just HAD to let the paper do all the heavy lifting today! I haven't used this sheet yet, and it seems so perfect for this fishy little sentiment, lol. I kept it simple with one of our new Tailor Made Tag shapes, too - sometimes the simple is the best! Whale Done Stamp Set; Whale of a Time DSP (retired); Basic White & Poppy Parade CS; Poppy Parade & Pacific Point Inks; Tailor Made Tags Dies; Poppy Parade Heavy Baker's Twine; #TMR150. ![]() It's mix-it-up time at this week's Try Stampin' on Tuesday #507! What a challenge! I decided this sketch was perfect for including a split -window feature on my card front - so I can mix it up with BOTH sides of our challenge! I am delighted to showcase one of our gorgeous new suites, too - Sweet As A Peach! As soon as I saw it, I knew it had to be on my first order, lol - I LOVE peaches! The DSP is so very pretty, too, with delicate watercolor peachy designs, as I highlighted with today's sheet. Ah, my mouth is watering, lol. I can't wait to see YOU mic it up with us this week - meet you at the challenge! Sweet As A Peach Stamp Set; You're A Peach DSP; Basic White CS; Pear Pizzazz, Pale Papaya & Petal Pink Inks; Peach Dies; Window Sheet; #TSOT507. ![]() This should be interesting - Cardz 4 Guyz #270 has a "monochromatic" challenge this week! I can't help but think of "stamping off" when I think monochrome - such a great way to get different shades of the same color! What could I do this way that would be masculine enough? Mountain Air to the rescue! I decided a lovely receding landscape of manly pine trees would be just the thing, and I did it all up in Shaded Spruce to go along, lol. In the end, I added one of the gorgeous fancy die-cut trees along the left edge, too - so pretty, and NOT fussy! Mountain Air & Best Year Stamp Sets; Basic White & Shaded Spruce CS; Shaded Spruce Inks; Majestic Mountain Dies; #C4G270. ![]() Check out this fresh and fun color challenge at this month's Stampin' Pals Challenge #15! Well, I just can't seem to get enough of this cute popsicle from the April 2020 So Cool Paper Pumpkin, lol. It was just MADE for color challenges, lol. Easy to color, easy to snip out, just fun all 'round! I like to add a few coordinating sequins, too, for extra little pops of color! Stay cool, everyone! So Cool Paper Pumpkin (April 2021); Basic White, Highland Heather, Pumpkin Pie & Melon Mambo CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie & Highland Heather Blends Markers; Orange Sequins; #SPC15. ![]() Let's Get Messy - May 15, 3 pm! Ah, our favorite techniques class of the year is finally here! In this class we explore new techniques, tools and goodies, that maybe make a bit of a (ahem) mess! Want to try something new, but feel a bit nervous to get started? Come make the mess at MY house! Class features 5 cards and envelopes, and includes all supplies needed (bring your own fave snips and adhesive!), snacks, drinks and a special gift from me, all for $25! This class can also be FREE with your order of $30 or more! RSVP today to save your spot! And DON'T wear white! ![]() Check out this cute landscape sketch we have for you this week at Fab Friday #213! We had so much fun at my last Pumpkin Club, I just haven't been able to put this cute set down, yet! I love that it coordinates with our delicious Ice Cream Corner DSP, too - this color spread is just so bright and lively! Today, I tried out stamping my popsicles ON the fun DSP - instant color wash! I'd eat these juicy pops any time, lol. I can't wait to see what YOU have for us this week - meet you at the challenge! So Cool Paper Pumpkin; Ice Cream Corner DSP; Basic White & Bermuda Bay CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Bermuda Bay Inks; Cinnamon Cider Blend Marker; Basic Jewel Rhinestones; #FabFri213. ![]() Now this is totally a challenge I needed to get in on - Time Out Challenges #186 is all about pets! I think I can also squeeze in Retro Rubber #157's sketch, too - yay! Somehow I've been missing the schedule for them lately! One of my favorite things to do is match up something pretty retired with something fairly recent - it always thrills me that the coordination lasts the test of time! In this case, it meant marrying 2007's Here Kitty Kitty with last year's Playful Pets DSP - somehow I really haven't used the CAT sheets from that pack... This was my chance! And of course, using a DSP always sets my color palette for me, and I love bold color with Black! Mu images worked better with the sketch turned sideways - tricky! Here Kitty Kitty (retired 2007); Basic White, Real Red, Basic Black, Flirty Flamingo & Basic Gray CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Real Red & Smoky Slate Blends Markers; Layering Ovals Dies; 1" & 1 1/4" Circle Punches; Red Resin Dots; #TOC186; RRCB157. |
