![]() Make My Monday #177 has a "coloring" challenge this week - any medium! They are singing my song! I have just the image I want to break in, too - this is a peek at the holiday hostess set, Caroling Mice! So adorable! I set a little tableau for them, and then colored in my trio with my favorite Blends Markers. The only strange thing is that this set has no sentiments, not that I've ever lacked for Christmas sayings, lol. I chose this skinny one from our old Making Christmas Bright set, so I wouldn't cover hardly any of the mice! So much fun! Caroling Mice & Making Christmas Bright (retired 2020) Stamp Sets; Basic White & Real Red CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Real Red Inks; Crumb Cake, Petal Pink, Real Red, Granny Apple Green, Mossy Meadow, Old Olive, Basic Black & Pool Party Blends Markers; Rhinestone Basic Jewels; #MMM177.

![]() I'm so excited to host our "stars" challenge at Sparkles Christmas Challenge #138 this month! And we have just the sketch for it, too, at As You See It #278! I really wanted to dig in to our new holiday catty hostess DSP pack today, called Celebrate Everything! - It's a giant DOUBLE pack, and has so many festive patterns to enjoy, including some black and whites like this tree sheet, that I dressed up with some Granny Apple Green coloring! When I think Christmas stars, I think of the ones on our trees, lol, and it was fun to do this pretty play today. I can't wait to see YOUR projects for our fun challenges this week - hope I see you there! For Unto Us Stamp Set (retired 2021); Celebrate Everything DSP; Basic White, So Saffron & Daffodil Delight CS; Granny Apple Green Blends Marker; Cherry Cobbler Ink; Stitched Stars & Layering Ovals Dies (both retired); Daffodil Delight Epoxy Dots; #SCC138; #AYSI278. ![]() Woo hoo! I am thrilled to see that CAS Christmas is back at it - you can never have too many Christmas challenges, lol. This month's theme is "wreath!" I decided to go with my still-beloved Arrange a Wreath set from last year - I just love the dies still! I did a quick layered wreath in two colors, and finished with a pretty bow in Cherry Cobbler. My perfect merry sentiment fit right in the middle! Quick, simple and a fun look back! Arrange a Wreath Stamp Set (retired 2021); Basic White, Pear Pizzazz, Old Olive & Cherry Cobbler CS; Cherry Cobbler & Old Olive Inks; Wreath Builder Dies; #CASChristmasWreath. ![]() DOUBLE Pumpkin Club June 25! NBUS stands for "Never Before Used Schtuff!" And I certainly have enough of that for a challenge or ten, lol. I decided to break into my holiday catty preorder of Trees For Sale, and Tree Lot, the over-the-top die set available in the upcoming Sale-A-Bration, that goes with it. I have to be honest, I was a little meh about the stamp set - until I laid eyes on those dies, lol. WOWZA! There is so much here, I have to restrain myself! This is the simplest first card I could come up with, lol, and I have so much more to come with these beauties! Trees For Sale Stamp Set; Granny Apple Green, Cherry Cobbler, Basic White, Shaded Spruce, Silver Foil, Pool Party, Basic Black & Early Espresso CS; Granny Apple Green & Cherry Cobbler Ink; White Gel Pen; Tree Lot Dies; #NBUS39. ![]() Another fun combo at this week's In{k}spire Me #479 - Can I make both sides work? I don't know about those colors, lol. Turns out, YES, I can, thanks to a little help from my Holiday Catty pre-order, lol. I had so much fun inking up my brand new Sweet Candy Canes set - these colors were just right for a soft and lovely holiday card! I'm loving these candy canes especially, because you get two, each one facing the other direction, AND, dies to match! Perfect! There's a tasty DSP that goes with, too, but today was all about the colors, lol. Sweet Candy Canes Stamp Set; Petal Pink, Basic Black & Very Vanilla CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Flirty Flamingo & Bermuda Bay Inks; Candy Cane Dies; Very Vanilla Satin Ribbon; Very Vanilla Sequins; #IMC479. ![]() Yes! It's time for our monthly Sparkles Christmas Challenge #137 - and we want to see some holiday critters! I actually still have my beloved Penguin Place still on my current shelves - this cutie is supposed to carry over to our upcoming Holiday Mini catty, so I decided he should just stay put for the off-season, lol. This is a picture of him patiently waiting for the new season to open, all snug in his cap and scarf! He'll be back to his usual antics soon - pre-order opens today! Woot woot! I can't wait to see YOUR cute critters - I love them all so much! Meet you at the challenge! Penguin Place Stamp Set; Balmy Blue DSP; Basic White, Basic Black & Balmy Blue CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Balmy Blue & Mango Melody Inks; Tailor Made Tags Dies; Penguin Builder Punch; For Everything Fancy Blue Sequins; #SCC137. ![]() Well, here's a funny line for a word prompt at this week's Time Out Challenge #214 - fun! I knew right away I wanted to try for a night sky - and my best set for that is a Christmas one, lol. I built my scene with Hearts Come Home, which retired in 2019 - I love these dies! I also love to layer them, but today I kept things fairly simple with just one layer, but I couldn't resist getting Santa in there, and some stars - I can just feel the cold air! I finished off with some snowflake sequins, pretty! Hearts Come Home Stamp Set (retired 2019); Basic White & Night of Navy CS; Versamark & Night of Navy Inks; White EP; Hometown Greetings Dies (retired); Adhesive Backed Snowflakes; #TOC214. ![]() Oh gosh, my monthly Sparkles Christmas Challenge #136, for Christmas sentiments, has landed on my Sunday Stamps #282 sketch! This will be fun! I straight away went hunting for an oversized Christmas sentiment, and hit the jackpot with Christmas Means More! This set from 2020 was a little collection of Christmas movie quotes, like the one I chose from "How The Grinch Stole Christmas," lol. We own all the movies in this set, of course, good times! Anyway, I stuck tight to the sketch, and featured my beloved Heartwarming Hugs DSP - I think we might have first had this one in 2020, too, but gosh I loved it so much! It's finally almost gone, lol. I can't wait to see YOUR projects for our challenges, too, I'll meet you there! Christmas Means More Stamp Set (retired 2020); Heartwarming Hugs DSP (retired); Crumb Cake & Basic White CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Old Olive & Real Red Blends Markers; All the Trimmings Embellishments (retired); #SCC136; #SSC282. ![]() OK, time to try out a new challenge! I can JUST squeak in to this week's Can You Handle the Pressure - an anything-goes-must-use-embossing challenge - this round with a touch of green! I was recently going through my retiring papers - it's that time of year! My pack of Shimmer Vellum is in that stack, and I noticed that I had a scrap of the Evening Evergreen I had embossed when I first received it, to see what would happen. What happens is it really pulls out the shimmer! Yum! I am delighted to use that test scrap on this calm Christmas card, a natural to pair with Christmas to Remember and Christmas Season. I love the look of the embossed panel! Christmas to Remember & Christmas Season Stamp Sets; Basic White, Gray Granite & Early Evergreen Shimmer Vellum CS; Cherry Cobbler, Early Evergreen & Soft Succulent Inks; Seasonal Labels Dies; Wintry EF; Cherry Cobbler Heavy Baker's Twine; Cherry Cobbler Matte Decorative Dots; #CYHTPGreen. ![]() This will be fun - we're having a fun-fold challenge at Sparkles Christmas Challenge #135 this month! Well, I can never get enough gatefolds, lol, so I went looking for a fun winter background to put behind my farewell Snowman Season card. This cute set has lasted through a few catalogs now! I couldn't resist this chubby little dancing guy - and there was almost nothing to color! I did add some of the set snowflakes over the DSP, though - such a cool look! I can't wait to see YOUR holiday fun folds for us - meet you at the challenge! Snow Man Season Stamp Set; Trimming the Town DSP (retired); Basic White & Pool Party CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Pool Party Ink; Pumpkin Pie & Pool Party Blends Markers; Adhesive-Backed Snowflakes; #SCC135. |
