Once again, In{k}spire Me #459 has a great combo for us, with some really fun colors, too! I'm taking a leap here, and finally using the Little Delights set for what first caught my eye - the cute little Christmas bulb! I just couldn't help myself, and I decided to strike off into somewhat non-traditional colors with their challenge colors, too, lol. After that, I pretty much stuck to the sketch, and added a few brilliants to finish things off - simple and sweet! Little Delights Stamp Set; Basic White & Highland Heather CS; Highland Heather, Poppy Parade, Bermuda Bay & Misty Moonlight Inks; Silver Cording Trim; Clear Epoxy Droplets (retired); #IM459. Time for another fun holiday theme at this month's Sparkles Christmas Challenge #129 - flora and/or fauna! Bring on the reindeer! I couldn't help but turn to my favorite "fun" Christmas set, Joyful Life. I love all the critters in the this one, but this pig has really stolen my heart, lol. Snazzy scarf, dapper glasses, holiday drink - yup, he's the pig! I'd go so far as to say that he even SPARKLES, lol! I went with a simple layout, dressed up my pig, and added a few sprigs of holly for some "flora," too. Yay! I can't wait to see YOUR critter projects for this one - meet you at the challenge! Joyful Life Stamp Set; Heartwarming Hugs DSP; Basic White, Mossy Meadow & Real Red CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Pale Papaya, Crumb Cake, Mossy Meadow, Old Olive & Real Red Blends Markers; Stitched Shapes (retired) & Stockings Dies; #SCC129. Now here's a perfect Christmas theme if ever I saw one! CAS Christmas wants to see our holiday plaid! I went thumbing through my SAB Peaceful Prints pack of paper to see if there were any good plaids - and of course there were! I haven't used this one very much for some reason, but when I saw this red plaid sheet with snowflakes on it, I was hooked! I went back and pulled my just-retired Itty Bitty Christmas bundle for it, because it has these delicate snowflake dies that look so like this DSP! And of course, SO MANY Christmas sentiments!! A few white sequins adds just the right finishing touch! Itty Bitty Christmas (retired 2021); Peaceful Prints DSP; Crumb Cake & Basic White CS; Christmas Layers Dies; White Sequins; #CASChristmasPlaid. Pumpkin Club September 25! Check out all our fun layers at this week's Sunday Stamps #266! I just so happen to have a cute new Christmas set waiting on my desk for inking - here's a peek and Sweets & Treats! I had to show off the Christmas pudding - yum! It looks so festive under its pretty cloche, and I still have some scraps of my beloved Heartwarming Hugs DSP - I was so glad to see that one come back this year! I finished off with some Elegant Faceted Dots for just a touch of bling! I can't wait to see YOUR projects for our sketch, too - meet you at the challenge! Sweets & Treats Stamp Set; Heartwarming Hugs DSP; Basic White & Real Red CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Pool Party, Real Red, Old Olive, Crumb Cake & Pumpkin Pie Blends Markers; Elegant Faceted Dots; #SSC266. , Now here's a fun theme at this week's Less Is More #451 - "sparkle!" Yay! I fell like this theme is kind of inviting to add a little bling to our cards this week - which is kind of throwing me for LIM, lol. So I tried not to go too crazy! I immediately thought of Christmas to help carry some sparkle, and I've hung on to 2015's Holly Jolly Greetings because I LOVE these perfect holiday sentiment dies! I chose to build "merry & bright" for the sparkle theme, and I layered up my merry for a bit of dimension. I silver embossed some sparkly details and finished with tiny rhinestones. I'm struggling a bit with the lighting in my new office, so I don't think it photos well, but I actually really like how it came out! Holly Jolly Greetings Stamp Set (retired 2015); Basic White, Night of Navy & Silver Foil CS; Night of Navy & Versamark Ink; Silver EP; Christmas Greetings Dies; Rhinestone Basic Jewels; #LIM451. Such a pretty sketch at this week's In{k}spire Me #457! I think these are pretty colors to go with, too - I am LOVING Misty Moonlight these days! This sketch seems perfect for breaking in my new Sparkle of the Season bundle. I wasn't sure I was going to get this one, it reminds me a lot of Swirly Bird, which I still have, of course, lol. BUT, this one has so many more seasonal elements, AND sentiments, too - a win-win! A girl always like to accessorize! I stuck pretty tight to the sketch, but had to move the sentiment to make it a little more balanced - this one is messing with my "rule of threes" thing, lol... Sparkle of the Season Stamp Set; Basic White, Basic Black, Misty Moonlight & Silver Foil CS; Misty Moonlight & Versamark Inks; Silver EP; Seasonal Swirls Dies; Basic Jewel Rhinestones; #IM457. Yay! I can JUST squeeze in Time Out Challenge #195 this week! It's a great one for me - to use a colored card base, which I've recently noticed I haven't been doing much lately! It was hard for me NOT to jump out right away to a Christmas card - how festive is a bright red card at the holidays?? I was helped along by just the right sized scraps from my Heartwarming Hugs DSP pack - love this Christmas-themed gingham! I added on this happy hedgehog, serving treats, from Joyful Life - these are such fun images! Joyful Life Stamp Set; Heartwarming Hugs DSP; Real Red & Basic White CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Petal Pink,Crumb Cake, Pool Party, Real Red & Granny Apple Green Blends Markers; Stitched Shapes Dies (retired); All the Trimming Embellishments (retired); #TOC195. I am SO excited to host this month's Sparkles Christmas Challenge #128 - "stockings!" Stockings hung with care are one of my favorite Christmas sights! I knew right away what suite I'd be featuring, too - Sweet Little Stockings is just the cutest! I showed off more of the gorgeous DSP this time - just couldn't resist all these critters snug in their stockings for my background. Next I moved on to a whole sheet full of stockings that I can cut out with the dies - this patterned beauty stole my heart, so out she came with a little holly-and-berries detail added, too. So many critters, you just know the Santa Paws sentiment is going to be my go-to, lol. I can't wait to see your stocking projects with us this month - meet you at the challenge! Sweet Little Stockings Stamp Set; Sweet Stockings DSP; Basic White, Cherry Cobbler, & Pear Pizzazz CS; Old Olive Ink; Stockings Dies; Banners Pick A Punch; #SCC128. Excellent - CAS Christmas has the perfect theme for us this month with "decorations!" It would be SO easy to go overboard with this one, lol, I can go to town on some Christmas decor! I managed to hang on to the brief, though, and kept it CAS. I haven't yet explored much of the amazing dies that go with Bright Baubles, but here's one from Delicate Baubles, of a sweet snowflake that you can float over the background color of your choice. I did a single bauble, and went with Misty Moonlight for my blue, adding a little hanging thread, too, that's also in the dies. I couldn't resist a few more of those Pool Party sequins leftover from our Adventure Begins Paper Pumpkin kit again, too! They go with everything! Bright Baubles Stamp Set; Basic White & Misty Moonlight CS; Misty Moonlight Ink; Delicate Baubles Dies; Pool Party Sequins; #CASChristmasAug2021. Pumpkin Club August 28! Ah, a perfect summer challenge - Less Is More #449 wants to see "shades of blue!" I think is just the chance I needed to finally pull out my new Adorning Designs Masks - check out these snow flakes! I did a smaller area just around my bottom right corner, turning and overlapping Balmy Blue over Pool Party - I can't believe how green my Pool Party looks against the Balmy Blue - what has happened here?? Lol. Anyway, I added a nice dark sentiment in Misty Moonlight, from Christmas To Remember, and finished with a few clear Elegant Faceted Dots. Has anyone noticed yet that I totally did a one-layer card without being asked?? Too funny... Christmas to Remember Stamp Set; Basic White CS; Pool Party, Balmy Blue & Misty Moonlight Inks; Adorning Designs Decorative Masks; Elegant Faceted Dots; #LIM449. Pumpkin Club August 28!
