![]() Yes!! CAS on Friday #194 has the perfect winter challenge ready for us - "snow!" This one was a bit of a challenge for me, because {GASP} I didn't get any of the lovely snow sets in our Holiday catty this year, lol. I have so many gorgeous snowflakes already! However, I wanted to use something current, and I do still have my Snowman Season set - which has the perfect sentiment! I kept simple by floating everything on this lovely snowfall sheet from our Trimming the Town DSP pack, and did a quick little snow-guy out in the fun! With the Snowman Builder Punch, it was even super quick! Snowman Season Stamp Set; Trimming the Town DSP; Whisper White, Real Red & Basic Black CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Misty Moonlight Inks; Pumpkin Pie, Real Red, Granny Apple Green & Basic Black Blends Markers; Snowman Builder Punch; Layering Circles Dies; Basic Jewel Rhinestones; #CASOF194. ![]() Flowering Cactus Spring Mini Preview Class Dec 12! ![]() There's a nice big field for us to play in at this week's Fusion "Merry, Joy, Cheer" challenge! I couldn't resist showing off some pretty DSP, and I got to thinking how this sheet from Trimming the Town has so many sentiments, to go with all the word clues in the inspiration pic, too! I had to add on my happy little hug-ready gnome, too, and coloring him in gave me an embarrassing realization: I have a set of Misty Moonlight Blends, and they weren't even opened!! I'm pretty sure I've been using my Stamp-n-Write marker, forgetting that I had these babies waiting to go, sigh. They've been sitting right there all this time!! Picture me blushing!! Gnome For The Holidays Stamp Set; Trimming the Town DSP; Whisper White & Basic Black CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Misty Moonlight, Real Red, Crumb Cake, Gray Granite & Petal Pink Blends Markers; Stitched Shapes & Rectangle Stitched Dies; #FusionMerryJoyCheer. ![]() Flowering Cactus Spring Mini Preview Class Dec 12! I decided I really wanted to do an easel card, and I went back to my very first die that came with my very first Big Shot - the Top Note Die! It's not quite a rectangle, right? I wanted to get some ink on my Perfectly Plaid set, too - as a carry over set from last year, I suspect its days are numbered, lol. I found this Decorative Label Punch while I was digging out my Pine Tree Punch - it goes great with the Top Note shape! I also had a few candy embellies left from my last Paper Pumpkin - love these! Perfectly Plaid Stamp Set; Heartwarming Hugs DSP; Whisper White CS; Shaded Spruce & Real Red Inks; Top Not Die (retired; Pine Tree & Decorative Label (retired) Punches; Jolly Gingerbread Embellishments; #TSOCShaped. ![]() Flowering Cactus Spring Mini Preview Class Dec 12! I'm still not too burnt on Christmas Cards yet, so I took my sweet Tag Buffet set out for another spin - I love this classic ornament! None of the set's sentiments suited me today, lol, so I pulled this one from Itty Bitty Christmas - so many awesome ones to choose from there, and I go back to this one again and again! I think it's more about the shape for me, lol. I can't wait to see what YOU do with our sketch this week - meet you over at the challenge! Tag Buffet & Itty Bitty Christmas Stamp Sets; Plaid Tidings DSP; Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler & Mossy Meadow CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Cherry Cobbler Inks; Cherry Cobbler, Mossy Meadow, Mango Melody & Gray Granite Blends Markers; Stitched Shapes Dies; Silver Pearls; #FabFri203. ![]() Oo, love the sketch this week at Hand Stamped Sentiments #353! Joy, indeed! After a bit of dithering, I decided to build a little scene with my Coming Home suite - I so love all the elements in this one! I started with my fave tree DSP for my card cover, Then did up the tag shape with my Stitched Nested Labels, and got started on the scene. I layered the tall skinny house with the tiny one to add a bit of depth, filled in some trees, and finished with a bright red VW Bug. This little sentiment from Itty Bitty Christmas was just perfect in a sideways Stitched Label, too! My little cabin in the woods! Coming Home & Itty Bitty Christmas Stamp Sets; Trimming the Town DSP; Whisper White, Pool Party & Soft Sea Foam CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Pool Party Inks; Real Red, Old Olive, Pool Party, Soft Suede & Crumb Cake Blends Markers; Stitched Nested Labels & Home Together Dies; #HSS353. ![]() What a perfectly timed cover The Library Challenge #73 has for us this week! Love this story! I'll be honest, my favorite memories of this one are reading it to my daughter - we have a pop-up version from Hallmark that has super cute illustrations, and it was always fun to sit together and do the reading while she worked the pop-ups. The "visions of sugarplums" wheel was definitely her fave! Anyway, when I went through my shelves of retirement, I found JUST the sentiment in 2016's Greetings From Santa, so I built a scene with 2019's Hearts Come Home - so perfect together over the Trimming the Town DSP! Hearts Come Home (retired 2019) & Greetings From Santa (retired 2016) Stamp Sets; Trimming the Town DSP; Whisper White & Misty Moonlight CS; Misty Moonlight & Versamark Inks; White EP; Hometown Greetings Dies (retired); Adhesive Backed Snowflakes; #TLC73. ![]() Ah, December 1st, and time to bring on non-traditional colors at this month's Sparkles Christmas Challenge #119! I also have this lovely bubbly sketch from Try Stampin' on Tuesday #486 to combine with! To choose my colors, I decided to go through my Playing With Patterns DSP stack - SUCH good combos in here! I found this appropriately bubbly pattern in Purple Posy, Crushed Curry & Calypso Coral that was just right! I've been wanting to take the Tag Buffet set out for a spin without its tag kit, this cute bauble is from that, and I found a small enough sentiment in Itty Bitty Christmas - it just all came together! I hope I see you at BOTH our challenges this week - enjoy the inspiration! Tag Buffet & Itty Bitty Christmas Stamp Sets; Playing With Patterns DSP; Whisper White, Calypso Coral, Crushed Curry & Purple Posy CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Ink; Purple Posy, Daffodil Delight & Calypso Coral Blends Markers; Stitched Shapes Dies; Purple Posy Faceted Gems; #Sparkles119; #TSOT486. ![]() Ooo, another one-layer challenge at this week's Less Is More #433, and we're making it "festive!" You know, I was so glad that Merry Moose carried over from last year, and then I haven't really used it enough - go figure! I decided with some careful masking, he could be my festive one-layer, tip-toeing through the forest! I kept it VERY sparse, one-layers are SO hard for me, but I added a touch of the festive with some stars on the tree tops, lol. And of course, this sentiment is what it's all about! Merry Moose Stamp Set; Whisper White CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Sahara Sand, Shaded Spruce & Crushed Curry Inks; #LIM433. ![]() Ahh, we're starting to bring in the holidays this week at Sunday Stamps #245 with our festive colors - hope you can join us! With all these good colors to choose from, I couldn't help but back to the gorgeous Peace & Joy set - I love playing with all the little stems and sparklies in this one! I also did a pretty layered sentiment on my die-cut "joy" today - these dies are so easy to fancy up! I added a few rhinestones in my sparklies - gotta bring on the shine for Christmas! I hope you can join us this week with these fun colors - see you at the challenge! Peace & Joy Stamp Set; Whisper White & Early Espresso CS; Shaded Spruce, Pear Pizzazz, Real Red, Blackberry Bliss & Rich Razzleberry Inks; Basic Jewel Rhinestones; #SSC245. ![]() I'm super stoked to be able to play over at Case This Sketch #399 this week since they're running a two-weeker - it's a total cutie! And speaking of total cuties, my Jolly Gingerbread Paper Pumpkin arrived shortly after I spotted this sketch, and how perfectly would the little house fit inside this sketch?? I can't pass it up! I combined with my fave Christmas DSP this year, Heartwarming Hugs, and colored away on my little ginger cottage to my heart's content. Adorable! A few All the Trimmings embellies were just the right finishing touch! Jolly Gingerbread Paper Pumpkin; Heartwarming Hugs DSP; Whisper White & Pear Pizzazz CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Crumb Cake, Old Olive, Real Red & Pool Party Blends Markers; All the Trimmings Embellishments; #CTS399. ![]() Pumpkin Club November 28!
