![]() We have a great prompt this round for you at Make My Monday #213 - called "lighting the way" - candles, light bulbs, lanterns, Christmas lights - you get the idea! I have just the thing for this one, though I did almost go back to my beloved Lighting the Way set, lol. But I'm in Christmas mode now, so it HAD to be Merry & Bright! I played again with the round bulbs today, over their awesome background sheet! This time, I hid my light-cord ends under my snipped sentiment pieces - worked like a charm! Another fun one to piece together in topsy-turvy ways, lol. I can't wait to see YOUR "lighting" projects - meet you at the challenge! Merry & Bright Stamp Set; Merry Bold & Bright DSP; Basic White & Shaded Spruce CS; Poppy Parade, Melon Mambo, Pool Party & Granny Apple Green Inks; Merry & Bright Dies; Iridescent Dots; #MMM213.

![]() Such a fun theme - we want to see your Christmas stockings this month at Sparkles Christmas Challenge #154! I knew I wanted to go back to our darling Sweet Little Stockings suite from 2021 for this one - the critters in stockings are just so cute! I even still have some DSP! I started by setting up my basic background with the DSP, of course, lol, and then strung on some Baker's Twine to hang my stockings from! The twine ended up being barely visible, lol, because I decided to do ALL the critters this time, and I set them up in cute stockings cut from the DSP as well - I'd love to have stockings like this! I finished with my favorite sentiment from this set, and a few rhinestones! I can't wait to see YOUR stocking projects, hung with care! Meet you at the challenge! Sweet Little Stockings Stamp Set ( retired 2021); Sweet Stockings DSP (retired); Basic White & Cherry Cobbler CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Cherry Cobbler Inks; Crumb Cake, Smoky Slate & SU200 Blends Markers; Stockings & Tasteful Labels Dies (both retired); White Baker's Twine; Rhinestone Basic Jewels; #SCC154. ![]() Woo hoo! I get a second run at this month's monochromatic theme as a guest designer at Christmas Craft Creations! I decided to do a companion card to my first one, this time using the awesome Mossy Meadow sheet in the Traditions of St. Nick pack! I love all these old fashioned post boxes, I usually only still see these sometimes in England, but they still always make me smile! Another simple layout, with a smudged up mailbox this time to go with that sweet sentiment. I finished with a few Iridescent Rhinestones, so I wouldn't add any other colors! I hope you'll join us, and get into the monochromatic spirit! Meet you at the challenge! Saint Nicholas Stamp Set; Traditions of St. Nick DSP; Basic White & Mossy Meadow CS; Mossy Meadow Ink; Blender Pen; Saint Nicholas & Stylish Shapes Dies; Mossy Meadow Braided Linen Trim; Iridescent Rhinestones; #CCCMonochrome. ![]() Pumpkin Club October 28! Here we are at As You See It #310 to show you our favorite things to do with vellum! One of my favorite things to do with vellum (and, shh, I'm actually not a huge user of vellum, lol) is to use it to create a floating panel over gorgeous DSP! Anything that helps me show off that pretty paper is a win, lol. In this case, I pulled out some beautiful (but retired) Feels Like Frost DSP to serve as the background for two of the wreath dies from our new Wishes All Around bundle - so many fun ways to use this one! I layered the snowflake ring in Silver foil over a vine wreath of Purple Posy, and crossed all that with the pretty sentiment. I love that I can still see the sense of the DSP behind the vellum, yet I have a focal panel for my wreaths, too! I can't wait to see YOUR pretty vellum projects, and hear all about your favorite ways to use! Meet you at the challenge! Wishes All Around Stamp Set; Feels Like Frost DSP (retired); Basic White, Vellum, Purple Posy (retired) & Silver Foil CS; Blackberry Bliss Ink; Wishes All Around Dies; Banners Pick A Punch; Purple Posy Faceted Dots (retired); #AYSI310. ![]() Pumpkin Club October 28! I decided to try out another new Christmas set for this one - I got it to make tags with, but this image works for cards, too, I think! This is the Gift of Giving set, which has three jolly main images, all super fun to color! You know I'm all over that! I stuck pretty tight to the sketch, and pulled in my Merry Bold & Bright DSP pack again, too - love that stuff! I had to reorder my tiny banner, since my image already had the sentiment, but I'm really happy with this! I can't wait to see YOUR fun projects with our tilty sketch - meet you at the challenge! Gift of Giving Stamp Set; Merry Bold & Bright DSP; Basic White CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Granny Apple Green, Poppy Parade, Shaded Spruce, Crumb Cake & Pebbled Path Blends Markers; Stylish Shapes Dies; Iridescent Discs; #HSS425. ![]() So lovely! We have a fabulous landscape sketch this round at Sunday Stamps #320! This seems like a perfect chance to show off a simple layout for the gorgeous new Night Divine bundle, and paired with the O Holy Night DSP! The stamp set is a collection of glorious nativity sentiments, in beautiful flowing fonts, and the dies are spectacular - all the pieces you need to build a lovely stylized scene! I didn't show half of what I could use on this card! I selected this desert landscape for my background and shortened the stable walls to fit it all in our layout, topping off with the smallest sentiment, lol. Love it all, every bit! I can't wait to see what YOU make of our fun landscape sketch - meet you at the challenge! Night Divine Stamp Set; O Holy Night DSP; Basic White, Night of Navy & Crumb Cake CS; Night of Navy Ink; Night Divine Dies; Rhinestone Basic Jewels; #SSC320. ![]() Oo, this will be a challenge! AAA Cards #250 would like us to "ink-blend" three or more colors! I have to think about how to keep this CAS! I decided to keep all my blending along one edge, so I could keep a nice open field of white - I think we had another challenge here like this, now that I think about it, lol. Anyway, I chose some contrasting colors, and went to town, kind of in a colorful evening sky kind of way! I decided to stick with silhouette images in Black, and did a partial of this cute row of firs from Forever Forest. Since this set has no sentiments, I went with this one from Above It All - Christmas-y without actually SAYING Christmas, lol. A few tiny coordinating matte dots finishes things off. Pretty low-key, but with a nice splash of color! Forever Forest & Above It All Stamp Sets; Basic White CS; Orchid Oasis, Daffodil Delight, Real Red & Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Blender Brushes; Orchid Oasis Matte Dots; #AAA250. ![]() Christmas Cards Part 2, Oct 14 at 2pm! As soon as I saw the beautiful Cherry Cobbler sheet in our special release Traditions of St. Nick DSP, I SO knew I'd be featuring out Saint Nicholas bundle! I so love these old-time Santa images and fonts! This fireside scene on the DSP is straight out of The Nutcracker in my mind, lol. Anyway, I did a simple background for the gift-bearing St. Nick, and smudged both he and the fancy sentiment up with a Blender Pen. Some Cherry Cobbler twine and dots and I was good to go! I can't wait to see YOUR monochrome Christmas projects, too - see you at the challenge! I have another one from the vault for you today - this is Old Fashioned Christmas from 2000! I swear that visiting stash has so many cuties in it, it has been SO fun to play with! I was tempted by the jolly Santa in this set, but really, when you're in the mood to color, there's nothing like a decked-out traditional Christmas tree, lol. It was a moment thinking about what coloring tools there were back when this set came out - thank goodness for my Blends! With all that coloring, I kept the layout and design pretty basic! I can't wait to see YOUR retro projects - what's in the vault for you? Meet you at the challenge! I decided today would be another good day to pull out a set from my new "vintage" stash, lol - today I have 2001's Holiday Hedgehogs! These are a dream to color, and so I got to show off my favorite - Blends Markers! I used to be super into water-painting, and I still like that, too, but I turn almost exclusively to the Blends these days - I just love them! I did this simple layout with my old Plaid Tidings DSP, all in Rectangle Stitched layers, and went to town, lol. I couldn't resist dressing the finished card up with my newly arrived Loose Holly Gems & Sequins, too - just a little shine! Holiday Hedgehogs (retired 2001); Plaid Tidings (retired); Basic White & Shaded Spruce CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Crumb Cake, Shaded Spruce, Real Red & Petal Pink Blends Markers; Loose Holly Gems & Sequins; #SOS506. |
