Yes, I know, it's way early for Easter cards, but to be honest, the gorgeous Indescribable Gift stamp set has been at the top of my to-ink stack all week, and I just can't put off coloring this pretty branch any more! I've been plotting it pretty much since I first spotted it in the Occasions 2015 catty! The trick was to play with some elements to make it fit in this week's Create With Connie & Mary #337! I think I pulled it off! I'm not sure my background papers work quite how I wanted them to, but I can't stay away from this DSP either, sigh. I predict a lot of cards in this color scheme from me for the whole Spring, lol... I loved that I was able to add an inside sentiment for this card, as well - sharing the joy! Indescribable Gift (Occasions 2015) Stamp Set; Best Year Ever DSP; Whisper White & Sahara Sand CS; Soft Suede, Sahara Sand, Pear Pizzazz, Crushed Curry & Calypso Coral Inks; Best Year Ever Ribbon & Button in Crushed Curry; Snowflake Card Thinlets. Perpetual Birthday Calendar Kit Class! I'm so excited to announce our first class of the year - a super-fun version of the Perpetual Calendar Kit found on page 17 of your Occasions 2015 catalog! This calendar features a custom decorated and lined sheet for each month, where you can pencil in all your birthday ticklers! I've added some simple goodies and tricks to make these kits shine even more, and you'll have lots of leftovers from the kit as well! Keep it for yourself, or box it up for a gift! A fun way to warm up for the year ahead! So, class is announced for Thursday, January 15 at 6:30 pm, or Saturday, January 17 at 3:30 pm. $20 gets you all your supplies, including 1 complete kit, a special treat from me, and snacks and refreshments. RSVP now so I can make sure to have your kit waiting for you!

When I saw these challenges pop up, I knew they were meant to go together, if only for the blog title it let's me write, lol! Let's celebrate the marriage of In{k}spire Me #142 and Sunday Stamps #73 today! I think this combo really calls for the cute little lamb in this year's Easter set, Eggstra Spectacular - just right! In order to really bring out the color challenge, I started by creating a stamped background with the egg element - the proportions worked out perfectly. Since I somehow don't have any ribbon in any of the colors (gasp!!) I decided to trot out the lace tape. A little splash of Turquoise, and we're all set! Eggstra Spectacular Stamp Set; Whisper White, Smoky Slate, Pink Pirouette & Tempting Turquoise CS & Inks; Delicate Details Lace Tape; Ovals Collection Framelits; Occasions Piercing Template; Subtles Candy Dots in Pink Pirouette. There's still time to sign up for our Heartfelt Banner Class! First offering will be Thursday, April 17, 630 pm. I also have a day class available for Tuesday, April 22, 930 am. And finally, I can offer a weekend class for those need a Saturday for Saturday, April 26, at 10 am. As always, if you find that these dates don't suit you, just let me know and we will make it work for you! All classes include snacks and drinks, as well as your little treat, of course, and are $20, or $5 with your own kit! RSVP today with your custom word or phrase for your spot! See you soon! When I saw this week's Nacho Average Challenge #75, I knew I was going to stray a bit - look at all those long rectangles! No WAY! My middle name is Rogue, of course! Now I did spring for this year's new Easter set - looked like a feast for a coloring fool like me, so it was a shoe-in! Today I got to get those marker urges out - is there anything more spring-ey in the world than coloring in your Easter eggs? Nope! Since I kept coming back to the Retro Fresh Washi Tape, I let that set the color scheme as well... Eggstra Spectacular stamp set; Very Vanilla, Baked Brown Sugar, So Saffron & Coastal Cabana CS; So Saffron, Tangerine Tango, Coastal Cabana & Baked Brown Sugar Inks; Corner Rounder & Extra Large Oval Punches; Ovals Collection Framelits; Occasions Piercing Template; Arrows Embossing Folder; Retro Fresh Washi Tape. Hi Everyone! I've decided to take a bit of a break this weekend while my family and I celebrate Easter - I'll be back in a day or two! I'll leave you with the other three cards we made in our Easter class - was it only last week? If you were there, you already saw them, but if you weren't - enjoy! Have a lovely holiday! So, I'm a day late and a dollar short on this week's Paper Craft Crew #35 - LAST week was supposed to be a Spring or Easter theme! Oh well, I made it now, and there's still time! What a fun layout this was - I love laying different shapes together in layers like this - woo! I cheated a tiny bit and tried the creative color combo on my Color Coach, too... Never would have tried this on my own, I don't think! Everybunny stamp set; Raspberry Ripple, Old Olive and Pretty in Pink CS; Orchard Harvest DSP; Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder; 1 1/4" Scallop punch; Little Leaves sizzlet; Glimmer brads. Here's a quick picture of our little treats from class tonight - just big enough for a little bite of chocolate! And here are tonight's class instructions - enjoy! Here's the first card for next week's class - all Easter themes! I had this epiphany - do you realize we haven't actually done any cards yet this year?? Sorry ladies, we have to do at least a few once in a while! I have some great card layouts, new techniques and fun folds planned for you, though - that you can use all year 'round! When we first got the oval framelits, I was already thinking ahead to this card - an Easter Egg Easel card - I figured it would be a good place to bring back the Chocolate Bunny, too! So, our next class is Thursday, March 21, 630 pm, here at Heroldt House! If you need a day-time class, I could do Monday, March 25, 930 am. Make sure to RSVP with which class you prefer so I can prep projects and goodies for you! See you then! OK, enough people asked for a quick class for that shadow box that I guess that has made the menu! To round out the Easter decor, we'll also have this banner, make sure to click on the picture to go to a full size version, and you can go here for a detail photo. With Sale-A-Bration winding down, I decided that it was a good time to start using up our almost gone Everyday Enchantment DSP (sob!), so this banner is that result! You can make yours say what you like, no more than 10 or 11 letters please! If you let me know ahead of time, I can try to have your letters ready for you - otherwise, the banner says, "Alleluia!" Class will be held this Wednesday evening, Mar 28, 6:30 pm. Make sure to RSVP, as it's coming on fast, and I want to prep as much as I can for you! Had some time to just play today - can't remember when the last time that was! I decided that I need to keep the trend going of filling in my shadow box inserts, so even though I love my Easter decorations already, what's a little bit more? I was so sad at the retirement of A Good Egg, had to trot it out for this project, along with the also retired Bunny Hugs. I have been SO stuck on this Cheerful Treat DSP, too, but the colors really do go with my other decorations... Plus, I want to use it while it's still current - can't believe the new catalog comes in June! Enjoy! Bonus class, anyone? Whisper White, Pink Pirouette, Concord Crush, Melon Mambo, Bashful Blue & Lucky Limeade CS; Cheerful Treat DSP; A Good Egg, Bunny Hugs, Crosses of Hope & Well Scripted stamp sets; Lucky Limeade Ruffled & Organdy ribbons; Lace Ribbon Border, Key Tag & Decorative Label punches Hi Everyone! Wanted to post a quick picture for next week's Easter class, which includes a quick bonus project for this cute "basket" made with the Perfect Settings die! Yes, you still get a treat from me, too! Let me know if you can make it - I need some time with my ladies after Spring Break last week! Ack! |
