![]() OK, don't get frazzled with my spring cleaning theme at this round of As You See It #294! Clean out some scraps - you know you need to! That said, after all the poking around in my search bar for "spring cleaning" images for this challenge, a stamp set by that name from Catherine Pooler popped up in my Amazon feed, lol. It was on clearance so I figured what the heck! There were some cute mop and bucket images! I'd actually been thinking about this scrappy idea for a while - I laid a strip of Tear-n-Tape across the center of card front, and stuck down a mix of scraps that I distressed with my fringe scissors. I tied them around with Linen Thread for extra security, and then tacked on that mop and bucket for fun! The sentiment is from our just-retired Thanks a Bunch SAB set - perfect! I can't wait to see YOUR projects for this one - get out that broom! Thanks a Bunch (SAB 2023) & Spring Cleaning by Catherine Pooler Stamp Sets; Basic White, Basic Black, Granny Apple Green, Mango Melody & Pool Party CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Smoky Slate, Pool Party & Crumb Cake Blends Markers; Fringe Scissors; Linen Thread; White Milky Dots; #AYSI294. ![]() Enjoy the Journey Suite Focus Class! ![]() Wow, In{k}spire Me #500 is celebrating a BIG milestone! Congrats! Such a fun sketch to play with, I set out to find JUST the thing! I think this calls for a carrot wreath, lol... Since this set doesn't come with dies, I knew I was in for a bunch of fussy cutting, too! I started by pairing my favorite Granny Apple Green sheet from the SAB Dandy Designs pack with Mango Melody - THESE are carrot colors, lol. Then I went to town stamping and stamping off large and medium carrots, and curvy leaves. I had a cup of tea and cut all my goodies out in one go - whew! I arranged everything how I thought it would fit, and ended up snipping some carrots down so they would all fit. I pop-dotted the sentiment, and tucked the leaves behind that. Kind of a crazy effect - I wasn't sure how it would turn out! I like it! Thanks a Bunch Stamp Set (SAB 2023); Dandy Designs DSP (SAB 2023); Basic White & Mango Melody CS; Mango Melody & Granny Apple Green Inks; Layering Circles Dies; Adhesive-Backed Milky Dots; #IMC500. ![]() Enjoy the Journey Suite Focus Class! So thinking along the lines of "classic," I couldn't resist pulling out the Legendary Ride suite again! This time, I really wanted to explore the backs of our awesome shiny sheets - this one has scene after scene of classic diners straight off Route 66! I love it! I can see coloring some of these beauties someday, too, but for now I stuck to the suite color scheme. Well, except I went with Smoky Slate instead of Basic Gray for my sentiment - I was afraid it wouldn't show up as well! I can't wait to see what YOU make of our awesome sketch - meet you there! Now, I think I did a "dots" challenge not too long ago, and with the goose on a floatie. I think I'll cover stripes with this one, and bring in the geese again, lol. This "goose bumps" image is OF COURSE why I even got this set, lol, and I was thrilled to finally ink it up! So thrilled, in fact, that I needed to fussy cut this cutie - I have it bad! I found my favorite stripey sheet from the Design a Daydream pack, and featured a nice Daffodil Delight circle to float my geese on! I did a second little sentiment down ta the bottom to seal the deal, lol. At the last second, I remembered that I have Daffodil Delight Glossy Dots, too! Yay! Silly Goose Stamp Set; Design a Daydream DSP; Basic White & Daffodil Delight CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Daffodil Delight Blends Marker; Stylish Shapes Dies; Glossy Dots in Daffodil Delight; #TSOCStripes. ![]() Enjoy the Journey Suite Focus Class! I went on the hunt and found a "circle" I haven't even used yet - the cookie in the A Little Cheesy set! How cute is that? I kept it pretty pared down - just three cookies (we have to show SOME restraint here, lol) and a few new gorgeous Crumb Cake Enamel Dots Essentials. Love it! We went chocolate chip, of course - yum! A Little Cheesy Stamp Set; Basic White & Crumb Cake CS; Early Espresso Ink; Crumb Cake & SU100 Blends Markers; Enamel Dots Essentials; #AAA234. ![]() This will be a fun one - Shopping Our Stash #490 would like to see anything starting with the letter "B!" It was fun to browse the stamp shelves for good "B" candidates - a burrito from Taco Fiesta had an early lead, lol. In the end I picked Bottled Happiness, so I could do an arrangement of bottles for my main images. I even added the little scroll from the July '22 Paper Pumpkin, "Sending Good Thoughts." Perfect for my sentiment! Anyway, here's my "B" list, so to speak: Bottles, Blues, Brown, Baker's Twine (tied in a BOW, lol) and Bumps, from my dotty Basics 3D Embossing Folder trio! Beautiful! Now I know this could be about the SHOW, but I'm taking this as a critter challenge! Yes! In the end, I think I've hit both those things with this one, lol. Our On The Farm set and super-cute Day At The Farm DSP seem just right for a 1930's Yorkshire vet, lol, and the critters cut from that DSP are amazing! I finally got the sheep, too! I made a little hillside scene and set our my cow and sheep, added a windmill, and floated this happy sentiment on a "sun." So cute! I almost always have trouble with any color challenge that includes pink, lol, but not this time, thanks to our Playing in the Rain suite! I found this rainy sheet in Balmy Blue for my base, and fussy cut some umbrellas in the right hues from another sheet - AND I could do my cute turtle in Old Olive shades, so I'm not all DSP! So surprising how much I'm using this suite now - it's sneaking into my rep! I can't wait to see YOUR projects with our sweet colors - meet you there! Turns out, I had QUITE the collection of new stuff on the desk, lol. First off, I totally forgot that I earned the Sale-a-Bration hostess set, Scenic Garden, lol. Oops! I actually wasn't very interested in this one - I rarely get sets that don't have both images AND sentiments. BUT, I also had a new sentiment-only set to add in - Something Fancy, which has a completely awesome set of dies, too - yay for new label dies! Lastly, I had a chance to pre-order some items from our fast-approaching Online Exclusive promotion, and I snagged this set of three Basics 3D Embossing Folders - I used one for my background layer, and I love it! This is a lot of NBUS, lol... I quickly settled on the lovely Ginkgo Branch set to play with today - with stamps I could overlay with gorgeous dies, It seemed a natural fit for this challenge! I started with some falling ginkgo leaves in Bermuda Bay, and laid over two of the smaller detailed die - so pretty! I stamped my sentiment in Bermuda also, and then cut it out with the pretty window die in the set, shortening one end by nipping off a bite in a second pass on my Big Shot - I love to custom size banner dies! I tousled some delicate gold thread behind the sentiment, and finished with a few gold Wonderful Gems - still CAS enough, I hope!
