![]() Awesome - Addicted to CAS #226 is speaking my love language - "tropical!" I had to pull out Paradise Palms to make my little tropical scene - of course! Only ONE palm tree today, lol, and I floated it all over a layer of the very tropical Bermuda Bay. So fun to put this together, and of course I imagined myself swaying in a hammock in there somewhere, lol. Ahhh... Paradise Palms Stamp Set; Basic White & Bermuda Bay CS; Sahara Sand, Soft Suede, Granny Apple Green & Bermuda Bay Inks; Stylish Shapes Dies; Coastal Cabana Glimmer Dots; #ATC226.

![]() We have some rad '80s colors for you guys at this week's Retro Rubber #189! Can I make it work with our back to school theme at this week's SU Only #308? Whew, this ended up being tougher than I hoped, lol. I really don't have a lot that I could think of as "back to school," and whoa these colors!!! Lol, I finally picked what I think of as the easiest three, and ran with it! My old Dictionary background stamp from 2013 made me think of school, and that got me thinking about my "defining" sets from 2007. I still love these so much, and I decided the "inspire" combo was just right for what we want from schooling, right? This is a pretty stripped down card in the end, but maybe good for a guy, too! I can't wait to see your projects for these - show me the mauve, PLEASE! Define Your Life, Defining Alphabet (both retired 2007) & Dictionary (retired 2013) Stamp Sets; Basic White & Misty Moonlight (retired) CS; Smoky Slate, Misty Moonlight (retired) & Crumb Cake Inks; Rectangle Stitched Dies; Misty Moonlight Cotton Ribbon (retired); #RRCB189; #SUOC308. ![]() I'm so excited for this new challenge - I have been so missing The Library Challenge! Make sure you check out the debut of Once Upon a Time #1 - it's featuring Dear Zoo! Hooray! I did watch the cute little animation film for this book, very sweet! So many good themes to choose from, but in the end, I circled back to the cover, lol. I still had some black and white striped paper leftover from the Pattern Party pack, so I added some Poppy Parade over this with my Blender Brush. I also pulled my old A Little Wild set from 2019 - these baby critters are the cutest! And because they're meant to be front-and-back tags, I slipped the rear view on my envelope, lol. I colored this handsome fellow with Blends markers, added my sentiment in a heart, and finished with a few resin dots. Adorable! A Little Wild Stamp Set (retired 2019); Pattern Party DSP (retired); Basic White & Poppy Parade CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Poppy Parade Inks; Blending Brush; So Saffron & Daffodil Delight Blends Markers; Little Loves & Sweet & Sassy Dies; Daffodil Delight Resin Dots; #OUT1. ![]() So lovely - we have some sweet earthy colors for you this week at Sunday Stamps #289! When I saw the adorable toadstool in the pic, I knew I wanted to try for Rings of Nature today! I've been using these shapes to make acorns, but we have the stems to make them into toadstools, too! These remind me so much of the little guys in Fantasia, lol. Anyway, I kept things pretty CAS, and also tried stamping my sentiment onto one of the die and emboss combo wood rounds - cool effect! I can't wait to see YOUR projects for our colors this week - meet you there! Ringed With Nature Stamp Set; Basic White, Cajun Craze & Crumb Cake CS; Early Espresso, Cajun Craze, Sahara Sand & Crushed Curry Inks; Tree Rings Dies; Tree Rings EF; Linen Thread; #SSC289. ![]() Annual Catty Roundup Class, Aug 13 at 2 PM I couldn't resist this catch-all class to "round up" some stamp sets that don't quite fit in our other classes, lol. There will be a little bit of everything, with at least 5 all-occasion cards with envelopes today! I think some Sale-A-Bration could sneak in, too, lol! Class includes all supplies needed for your projects (bring your own fave snips and adhesive!) plus snacks and drinks, and a special gift from me, all for $25! This class can also be FREE with your order of $30 or more! Class is announced for Saturday, August 13 at 2 pm - RSVP now to save your spot! ![]() Very cool theme this round at Can You Handle the Pressure - "Beach!" Digging through my folder stash, I came across the retired "Ruffled" - I've always felt like this one was a great one for stylized waves and water! I did my embossed panel in Pool Party, over some Crumb Cake for "sand," and went to look for a likely stamp set to add. I almost pulled the new lighthouse set (love it!) but in the end I wanted to do some curvy swimsuits from Sunny Splash. These are such vintage bathing beauties, lol, and they're fun to match up with our vibrant new In Colors! I even doctored up a label strip to order for the sentiment! Sunny Splash Stamp Set; Basic White, Crumb Cake & Pool Party CS; Sweet Sorbet, Parakeet Party, Starry Sky & Tahitian Tide Inks; Ruffled EF (retired); Seasonal Labels Dies; Whale of a Time Sequins (retired); #CYHTPBeach. ![]() Annual Catty Roundup Class, Aug 13 at 2 PM I couldn't resist this catch-all class to "round up" some stamp sets that don't quite fit in our other classes, lol. I really went out on a limb for this one, because I'm away on retreat, and I didn't plan very well for the theme in what I brought with me! I finally remembered I still had my Rugged Icon dies - yay for the fishing rod! I set it up over this pretty blue wash paper from the Rings of Love pack to look like water, and added a few fish in different blues. For the sentiment, I have mostly Christmas sets with me, and I finally spotted this cutie in our new Spruced Up set! Isn't it funny how it all comes together?? Spruced Up Stamp Set; Rings of Love DSP; Basic White, Night of Navy, Balmy Blue, Basic Gray & Pool Party CS; Night of Navy Ink; Ornate Frames (retired) & Rugged Icons Dies; Balmy Blue Glossy Dots; #MMM179. ![]() Oo, The Male Room #164 has a cool challenge for us this month - "monochrome!" I couldn't resist using this challenge as a vehicle for a NON-Christmas Scottie Dog card, lol. He's just so cute! We even have a sentiment that fits outside the holiday, so why not? I went with Early Espresso three ways on Crumb Cake - full strength on the bottom, stamped off on top, and then "kissed" and reversed onto the little plaid pattern stamp that comes with the set. Such a fun trio! I stayed away from embellies and snazzy red collars for the monochrome theme (SIGH) but slipped in a few Rustic Metallic Dots, at least, lol. Cutie times three! Christmas Scottie Stamp Set; Basic White, Early Espresso & Crumb Cake CS; Early Espresso Ink; Rustic Metallic Dots; #TMR164. ![]() Pumpkin Club July 30! Did you check out your July Pumpkin kit yet? Woo hoo! I went straight to my now-retired Every Chapter single stamp for this one - it's a serious keeper for me as one of the very few "book" sets I have, plus, it's super cute, lol. I started with the teacup on top in Ruth's fave Jade color, then had some happy coloring time in complementary blues to go with - so satisfying! I pulled out all my retired favorites for this one, too, lol. Oh look, Ruth left her glasses again... Every Chapter Stamp Set (retired); Sun Prints DSP; Basic White & Basic Black CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Crumb Cake, Pool Party, Just Jade (R), Basic Black, Balmy Blue, Seaside Spray (R), Night of Navy & Misty Moonlight (R) Blends Markers; #TOC218. ![]() Pumpkin Club July 30! I'm on it! I kept coming back to Honeybee Home when I was choosing today's stamp set - love these simple stems! I figured it was meant to be, lol, and went from there. Hopefully my single bee coming in for a flower landing isn't too distracting, and for some reason, these Vanilla sequins looked just right to me! Almost iridescent, like the bee wings! I tried to keep it fairly spare, and quiet in color for the CAS brief... Love it! These gorgeous floral cupcakes reminded me of the fabulous Butterflies & Flowers Layering Decorative Masks. I very strategically got these RIGHT before they retired, lol, so I sometimes have a hard time remembering to use them! I love the layering effect most for these flowers, and it seemed a perfect choice to do them up in today's challenge colors. I chose Melon Mambo, Poppy Parade and Old Olive for my version. So pretty! I added this cute little sentiment from our Cup of Tea stamp set; and finished with a few Melon Mambo Glossy Dots - yum!
