![]() Looks like Fusion has a playful combo for us this week, between this fun sketch and the "laugh decor" in the pic! After a little digging, I decided to just play on the sketch side - because I really wanted to roll out a new stamp set! Today I'm excited to get inky with What's Cookin'! So cute! This set has lots of little kitchen elements in it, for stirring, chopping, rolling and grinding, lol. The dies are amazing, too, and include a few extras, like this little bread board. I'm such a sucker for kitchen gadgets! Anyway, I mixed up a couple different packs of DSP for this one - and I'm still over the moon about the robust Pattern Party pack - so worth it! What's Cookin' Stamp Set; Pattern Party & Beauty of the Earth DSP; Basic White, Bermuda Bay & Crumb Cake CS; Bermuda Bay, Mango Melody & Granny Apple Green Inks; Cookin' & Stitched Shapes (retired) Dies; Bumblebee Trinkets; #FusionDecor. ![]() Man Cards 2021 Class One 12 at 3 PM! ![]() Yes! It feels like forever since I've been able to play here - so glad to have the chance again with Inspire Create Challenge #091. This sketch looked like it had such broad open spaces to play with, I knew I wanted to feature a DSP. I'm already in mourning for our gorgeous Flowering Cactus Medley, that will retire at the end of June, so I had to give it some love today, lol. This cactus-stripe sheet is one of my faves from this pack - it reminds me so much of my saguaro out front, lol. I had to add a little hedge cactus friend here, too, in our contrasting Calypso Coral. Such a pretty combo! Flowering Cactus Stamp Set; Flowering Cactus DSP; Mint Macaron, Pear Pizzazz & Calypso Coral CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Flowering Cactus Dies; Iridescent Sequins; #ICC091. ![]() Wow, Hand Stamped Sentiments #364 has such a lovely array of inspiration for us this week! Yum! This one was almost a stumper for me - I've really cut back on my flower sets, lol. Luckily, I still have the gorgeous Colorful Seasons from 2020 - these dies make this bundle a total keeper! I kept it VERY simple - a pretty match of Soft Suede and Petal Pink, with a lovely branch and some stamped blossoms. Ahh, someone lead me to the shower of petals I imagine! Colorful Season Stamp Set (retired 2020); Basic White & Petal Pink CS; Soft Suede & Petal Pink Inks; Seasonal Layers Dies; Elegant Faceted Dots; #HSS364. ![]() Pumpkin Club May 29! Now to pick out a fave all-time set for SU Only #276! Well, there's just no denying that the saucy chickens from 2006's Best of Cluck still have a firm grip on my heart, lol. These guys are so cute, even against all the super adorable CURRENT chickens we also have! I've always loved this long-legged guy, and he turned out to be perfect for our columnar sketch this week, after a few liberties with the layering order. Get your cluck on! I can't wait to see YOUR projects for us this week - meet you at the challenges! Best of Cluck Stamp Set (retired 2006); Pattern Party (& Random Retired Real Red Scrap) DSP; Basic White & Real Red CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Real Red, Daffodil Delight & Old Olive Blends Markers; White Gel Pen; Red Sequins; #TSOT508; SUOC276. ![]() Pumpkin Club May 29! First, I went on the hunt for my spots and stripes. I'm thrilled to find them in my Ice Cream Corner DSP - love these happy colors! I couldn't resist inking up a new set to go with: Badger Besties! Isn't it adorable?? The set has three cavorting badgers, and some super cute sentiments to go with, too - had to start with the namesake this round! Such a fun card from some pretty scraps! Mr. Badger would approve! Badger Besties Stamp Set; Ice Cream Corner DSP; Basic White & Crumb Cake CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Basic Black, Smoky Slate, Granny Apple Green & Mango Melody Blends Markers; Stitched Shapes Dies (retired); Iridescent Pearls; #TSOCSpots&Stripes. ![]() Pumpkin Club May 29! I usually try to snag all the colors for our challenges, but today I had to tame it down to three. I went with Magenta Madness, Misty Moonlight, and our brand new Pale Papaya. How to make them work? Let's make a background! I took a go at using our lovely Blending Brushes, finally back in stock - what fun! I definitely still need lots of practice with them, but they really do lay on the color in a soft and blend-able way! I started with my two "darker' shades on the top and bottom, and then filled in the lighter color in the middle - I really like the look! A quick stamp in black to add some imagery, and I am all set! Lovely! I can't wait to see what YOU make of our colors this week - meet you at the challenge! Beautifully Braided Stamp Set (retired 2020); Basic White CS; Magenta Madness, Pale Papaya, Misty Moonlight & Memento Tuxedo Black Inks; Black Enamel Dots; #SSC257. ![]() Oh yum, check out these tasty colors at this week's As You See It #249! After a quick browse, I decided to pull out my Daisy Lane set - I hardly ever use this one! I kept the design fairly simple - I actually followed the sketch we played for our last Team Creative Challenge, sneaky sneaky! The colors seemed to suit this pretty set, and I even have a little "it's your time to shine" inside! I like the daisy in this color, and my center is a very pale wash of soft suede with an Water Painter - I like the faded look there! Daisy Lane Stamp Set; Basic White, Mint Macaron & Flirty Flamingo CS; Mint Macaron, So Saffron & Soft Suede Inks; Daisy & Double Oval Punches; Mint Macaron Sheer Linen Ribbon; Pink Pearls; #AYSI249. ![]() Let's Get Messy - May 15, 3 pm! Want to try something new, but feel a bit nervous to get started? Come make the mess at MY house! Class features 5 cards and envelopes, and includes all supplies needed (bring your own fave snips and adhesive!), snacks, drinks and a special gift from me, all for $25! This class can also be FREE with your order of $30 or more! RSVP today to save your spot! And DON'T wear white! ![]() Woo hoo! The Sisterhood of Crafters has a theme this week right up my alley! "How does your garden grow?" I'm thrilled to have a chance to trot out the just-retired My Meadow set - I LOVE this whole landscape-building series! I did just a little scene, with a wheelbarrow to show that work actually does get down out there, lol, and matched it with this "growing" sentiment from Dragonfly Garden. I even slipped in the gazebo on the envelope! My own garden is nothing on this lovely woodland scene, but I love it just as much - time in the garden is no time at all! My Meadow (retired 2021) & Dragonfly Garden Stamp Sets; Basic White CS; Stitched Shapes Dies (retired); Soft Suede, Pear Pizzazz, Daffodil Delight, Basic Gray & Bermuda Bay Inks; Old Olive Enamel Dots; #TSOCGarden. ![]() Let's Get Messy - May 15, 3 pm! I decided I couldn't let Dandelion Wishes get away without a farewell tour - this is another cutie retiring at the end of this catty (tomorrow!) I jazzed it up a bit by trying it out in one of our new In Colors - this is Soft Succulent, my new fave! I stayed pretty strict to the sketch, but I added a tiny DSP layer behind the sentiment for a bit of extra contrast. This is such a gorgeous new green! Dandelion Wishes Stamp Set; Soft Succulent DSP; Basic White CS; Soft Succulent Ink; Stitched Shapes Dies; Soft Succulent Jewels; #HSS362. ![]() Sweet! I'm loving this week's "flower" challenge to Addicted to CAS #149! It just so happens that I got a new flower set in my pre-order, too! {GASP!} I haven't been too into flowers for a bit now, but Pansy Patch definitely fills a hole in my collection! This is another fascinating and comprehensive suite - stamps, dies, paper, embellies - it's all there, though I toned it down for this CAS challenge, lol. I wanted to focus on the stamping for my pansy this round, and I even squeezed in some new In Colors for it, too! I'm totally psyched that the dies fit many of the DSP images as well - wait'll you see! Anyway, I'm glad I started with this simple card - beautiful images!
