![]() So glad that AAA Birthday #57 is back - and with a rainbow challenge! Beautiful! I decided to add a rainbow-y background today, from my old Celebrate Everything pack - I love the mix of colors on this sheet! With this bright base to go from, it was an easy leap to our new Ice Cream Swirl bundle - such a fantastic giant cone! I colored everything with my Water Painters for this first outing - there are some fabulous dies to use, too! Yum with a cherry on top! Ice Cream Swirl Stamp Set; Celebrate Everything DSP (retired); Basic White & Granny Apple Green CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Pecan Pie, Polished Pink (retired) & Poppy Parade Inks; Water Painters; Ice Cream Swirl & Deckled Rectangles Dies; Gorgeous Grape Glossy Dots; #AAAB57.

![]() What a great idea! Farm Quest Challenge Blog #43 has a quilt theme on this round! I went straight to my old Christmas Quilts bundle from 2017 - I still love it so much! I decided to make up a few pieced elements, just like I would with my scraps bag, lol, and I turned to my outgoing In Colors for some bright combos! I always start to feel a little anxious for the departing colors this time of year, lol - I know their retirement date will be in a few months, SOB. So you might be seeing them on the blog a bit more often now, lol! Anyway, so much fun! Christmas Quilts Stamp Set (retired 2017); Basic White, Orchid Oasis, Crumb Cake & Silver Foil CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Orchid Oasis, Parakeet Party, Sweet Sorbet & Tahitian Tide Inks; Quilt Builder Dies (retired); #FQCB43. ![]() Very nice - In{k}spire Me #524 is kicking us off with a New Year's theme! I decided to play some more with the gorgeous Light Up The Sky bundle for this one - while it IS carrying over, you still have a couple days left to nab it at the bundle price! Today was all about using these cool "masking" dies - I made up a whole background with them on Night of Navy, and then used my blender brushes to place color to show through for a glorious fireworks display! And it turned out the Iridescent Rhinestones were the perfect way to add just a touch more sparkle! So fun! Light Up The Sky Stamp Set; Basic White & Night of Navy CS; Tahitian Tide, Parakeet Party, Sweet Sorbet & Night of Navy Inks; Light Up The Sky & Stylish Shapes Dies; Iridescent Rhinestones; #IMC524. ![]() Yay! The luck of the calendar has me working on a two-fer today! Make My Monday #216 is back, with a New Year's theme! And Sparkles Christmas Challenge #156 wants to see a Winter Wonderland! This should be fun! OK, I think I hit on my solution - I need a sentiment that covers Christmas AND New Year's! I ventured all the way back to Hearts Come Home which retired in 2019 - whew! I built my winter scene around that using my beloved Forever Forest Dies in white over Night of Navy, then heat embossed my sentiment and some Fireworks, from this year's Light The Sky. Does it work?? Hopefully! I finished with a few Classic Matte Dots. I can't wait to see YOUR projects this round - see you at the challenges! Hearts Come Home (retired 2019) & Light The Sky Stamp Sets; Basic White & Night of Navy CS; Versamark & Night of Navy Inks; White EP; Forever Forest Dies; Classic Matte Dots; #MMM216; #SCC156. ![]() It's so perfect that I get to play my last challenge of the year at somewhere new - and super cute! I'm closing 2023 with the Aloha Friday Challenge #5 - for Christmas or Winter Animals! I went with my Regal Reindeer set for this one - the essential winter animal, right? I did a little spotlight scene this time, rather than the full diecuts, and floated the panel over this gorgeous scene from One Horse Open Sleigh. Seems like his kind of territory! I added some gentle colors, and this perfect sentiment. Can't you just see him eyeing that apple?? Lol. Happy New Year, all - hope it's brilliant! Regal Reindeer Stamp Set; One Horse Open Sleigh DSP; Basic White & Early Espresso CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Boho Blue & Early Espresso Inks; Crumb Cake, Real Red, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight & SU800 Blends Markers; Stylish Shapes Dies; Adhesive Backed Snowflakes; #AFC5. ![]() I love Just Add Ink #684's closing challenge - traditional Christmas colors, and a place to play over many blogs' breaks! Perfect! I decided to play with Wishes All Around today - I love this fresh and modern set so much, and such cool dies to go with! It was fun to imagine this in traditional colors, too - so fun when layering the wreaths! I started with an embossed background with the Christmas Tidings folder, and did my background vine wreath in gold foil. This ring of trees stamped on our retired Pear Pizzazz seemed just right! I finished with a tiny bow and some tiny gold pearls. Quick and classic! Wishes All Around Stamp Set; Basic White, Gold Foil, Old Olive, Pear Pizzazz (retired) & Real Red CS; Old Olive & Versamark Inks; White EP; Christmas Tidings EF; Wishes All Around & Stylish Shapes Dies; Real Red Faux Linen Ribbon; Gold Pearls; #JAI684. ![]() Oo, lovely! In{k}spire Me #523's theme is "Holy Christmas!" Love it! I of course turned to our Night Divine suite for this one! I recently had an idea for heat embossing the largest sentiment directly over some of the gorgeous DSP - would it show up well enough? I think it totally works! I originally thought I would do it in white to make it pop even more, but I knew I wanted to do my die cuts in gold, and also use the amazing Star Trinkets, too. So I took a shot, and I LOVE how it came out! I tried this angle shot to get it to show well for the pic, too, lol. What a great theme! Night Divine Stamp Set; O Holy Night DSP; Basic White & Gold Foil CS; Versamark Ink; Gold EP; Night Divine Dies; Star Trinkets; #IMC523. ![]() Did you get your December Pumpkin kit yet? Shopping Our Stash #512 is back with a "winter holiday" theme - love it! I decided I haven't used my Celebrate The Miracle set NEARLY enough yet, lol, so I broke it out for today's card! I started with a background of Misty Moonlight, and added a strip of this old Night of Navy DSP for my accent and envelope flap - they go so well together! I did this fun shape for my featured layer, and played with the dreidels today, along with some gold-embossed gelt! So cute! I finished with a scatter of glittered sequins in blue as well. Even with the fussy cutting, this was quick! I decided to really go to the vault for this one, and pulled out my beloved Merriest Wishes set from 2016! This set has everything you need to make so many gorgeous ornaments or tags, so I chose three to feature and went to town! Each ornament is multiple layers, and I inlayed the colors on my two white beauties to achieve this crisp look - what a job! I floated them over a pretty Shaded Spruce background embossed with my Whimsical Woodland folder - such a cutie! I finished everything up with some silver details for a touch of sparkle! I can't wait to see YOUR ornament projects for this one - meet you at the challenge! So, you just KNOW I had to go back to 2018's Farmhouse Christmas for this one, right?? I remember being all gaga over the cute truck in this one, but the farmhouse is a super keeper, too! And look how awesome it is with our One Horse Open Sleigh paper? Yes, I could have used the Farmhouse Dies to cut out a fence for the background, but why not use this lovely country lane instead? Anyway, my farmhouse had to have a few strings of lights, and some wreaths to seal the deal, in addition to being colored in Christmas colors, lol. Love it! Farmhouse Christmas Stamp Set (retired 2018); One Horse Open Sleigh DSP; Basic White, Early Espresso & Cherry Cobbler CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Versamark Inks; White EP; Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, Crumb Cake, Daffodil Delight & Pool Party Blends; Farmhouse Dies (retired); Adhesive-Backed Snowflakes; #FQCB42. ![]() Did you get your December Pumpkin kit yet?
