![]() What a gorgeous quote from Time Out Challenges #246! It reminds me of one I have, too, hmmm... I still love this set from 2010, Plant Hope! I think I originally got it for the pretty bonsai tree image, but it's the sentiment I have returned to, again and again, lol. Today I matched it with (of course!) the Enjoy The Journey DSP pack - I find a way to squeeze it in most everywhere, don't I?? Anyway, I was struck by how similar the trees on this gorgeous mountain sheet were to the lovely pines in the stamp set, so I went monochrome with Starry Sky, too - such a cool effect! Plant Hope Stamp Set (retired 2010); Enjoy The Journey DSP (retired); Basic White & Starry Sky CS; Starry Sky Ink; Deckled Rectangles Dies; Starry Sky Baker's Twine; Starry Sky Matte Dots; #TOC246.

![]() Lol, I laughed out loud when I saw this round's theme at Shopping Our Stash #504 - "welcome to the jungle!" I knew right away I wanted to pull out my Rhino Ready bundle for this one! I first tried my hand at a little sunset sky behind some purple mountains with Blending Brushes, and then immediately covered most of it up with the rest, lol. I DID try! I brushed up a little green on my torn-edge foreground, and colored in my rhino of choice - love this one with the bird! Then I got to play with the gorgeous dies - a banyan tree, and some bright leaves! It's a jungle out there! Rhino Ready Stamp Set; Basic White, Granny Apple Green, Highland Heather, Crumb Cake & Lemon Lime Twist CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Granny Apple Green, Daffodil Delight & Melon Mambo Inks; Blending Brushes; Gray Granite, Bubble Bath & Daffodil Delight Blends Markers; Rhino Ready & Nested Essentials Dies; Rustic Metallic Dots; #SOS504. ![]() I LOVE our sketch this round at Hand Stamped Sentiments #422 - we're banded AND framed, lol! Further along those lines, I decided to feature this colorful stripey sheet of DSP from our Bright & Beautiful pack - I love all these colors together! I floated my DSP over a background of Bubble Bath, and added a deckled frame in Berry Burst - all about "B" today, lol. I finished with this cute "hello" from the Hello Kiwi stamp set, and a few Berry Burst Tinsel Gems. Did you see how I have a deckled circle to go with my deckled frame?? Eee! I can't wait to see your ideas for our fun sketch this round - meet you at the challenge! Hello Kiwi Stamp Set; Bright & Beautiful DSP; Basic White, Bubble Bath & Berry Burst CS; Berry Burst Ink; Deckled Rectangles & Deckled Circles Dies; Berry Burst Tinsel Gems; #HSS422. ![]() This is so catchy, lol - The Sisterhood of Crafters would like us to "make a scene!" So fun! As I went hunting for good scene setting sets, Grassy Grove caught my eye. I think I've only stamped with it once, and even worse, I don't think I've EVER used the gorgeous dies I actually got the bundle for, lol. Today's the day! It struck me that I could do an amazing silhouette scene, against the right background. Rather than ink blending my own fiery sunset sheet, I cheated (a little, lol) and cut this panel from my beloved Enjoy The Journey pack! I have found so many ways to use this paper, I hope I never run out, lol. Anyway, I finally used the cool tree die to create my landscape, and I tucked these two deer in there, too. Love it! Grassy Grove Stamp Set; Enjoy The Journey DSP (retired); Basic White & Basic Black CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Grove Does; Large Oval Punch (retired); Iridescent Pearls; #TSOCScene. ![]() Check out our inspiring landscape colors at Sunday Stamps #317! With such a gorgeous lake view, I couldn't resist getting in on a little scene-building myself, lol. I haven't played with Oceanfront in a while, and it seems a natural fit with these outdoor colors! I stamped and stamped off in blues and browns, and finished with my greens - I even snuck in a little retired Evening Evergreen for the really dark one! I custom cut the sentiment layer with my Deckled Rectangle dies, since that was what I used for my layering, too. A quick dig and I pulled out some old Pebbles Enamel Shapes - they match so well, you almost can't see them, lol! I can't wait to see YOUR takes on our gorgeous colors this round! Meet you at the challenge! Oceanfront & Happy Labels Stamp Sets; Basic White & Boho Blue CS; Boho Blue, Night of Navy, Pecan Pie, Evening Evergreen (retired) & Old Olive Inks; Deckled Rectangles Dies; Silver Thread; Pebbles Enamel Shapes (retired); #SSC317. ![]() Oh yum! Check out the book for the next round at The Library Challenge #84 - Jane's Patisserie - Celebrate! Time to start baking, lol! For today's card, I focused on that pretty rainbow cake, and I pulled out an old Paper Pumpkin set to put one together! Our February 2020 set, called Lovely Day, conveniently has a cute three-layer cake slice, that looks a lot like the one on the book cover! I stacked up two of those to make my six layers, and colored it to match the cover! I'm pretty happy with how it came out, and you know I always like to fussy cut, lol... Lovely Day Paper Pumpkin Stamp Set (Feb 2020); Bubble Bath DSP; Basic White & Early Espresso CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Bubble Bath, Poppy Parade, Mango Melody (retired), Daffodil Delight, Lemon Lime Twist, Pool Party & Fresh Freesia Blends Markers; Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins in Pink; #TLC84. ![]() I am so thrilled with our theme this month at Sparkles Christmas Challenge #152 - snowmen! My favorite! For my chummy snow dudes today, I went back to my old The More The Merrier, a hostess set from 2009. I love these guys! They're so cute, standing around together, have a nice Christmas Chat, lol. I think my set might be missing the sentiment that goes with this image (bought it used an age ago, lol) but how cute is it with this one from our new Beary Cute set? They are perfect together! I kept the design VERY simple today, BUT, I played some more with our Snowfall Accents Puff Paint! I am loving this stuff, I'm so sorry I came so late to it, now, lol. What a blast to heat set this stuff - exciting times! I can't wait to see YOUR snow people this round - meet you at the challenge! The More The Merrier (retired 2009) & Beary Cute Stamp Sets; Beary Christmas DSP; Basic White CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Real Red Inks; Real Red, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Balmy Blue & Smoky Slate Blends Markers; Deckled Rectangle Dies; Snowfall Accents Puff Paint; #SCC152. ![]() Oo, this one might be tough - AAA Cards #247 has "sketch for a teen" challenge this round! I went with Fun On Wheels today, and kept it as simple as I could stand, lol. I first cut a big Stitched Rectangle for some White on White layering - adds a tiny bit of oomph without getting all fancy! I dabbed on some bright color with my Blending Brushes, and stamped this perspective bike over them in Black. After I sat with it for a minute, I went back and stamped the "street map" image on either side, too - very light, in stamped off Smoky Slate. My sentiment went at the bottom per the sketch, and I caved and added 3 Matte Black Dots - I'm so weak about embellies, lol. Fun On Wheels Stamp Set; Basic White CS; Berry Burst, Lemon Lime Twist, Memento Tuxedo Black & Smoky Slate Inks; Blending Brushed; Rectangle Stitched Dies; Matte Black Dots; #AAA247. ![]() Whew, I can JUST barely sneak in to Time Out Challenges #245 - colorful! I couldn't resist inking up my new Pick of the Patch Stamp set, in lots of fun colors! I was smitten when I saw that cute bent gourd, and of course, the builder punch, which I also got to play with! I made a simple layout, over Lemon Lime Twist, which I also used for leaves and tendrils - so fun! I'd love some Blueberry Bushel and Berry Burst pumpkins in MY garden, lol! Pick of the Patch Stamp Set; Lemon Lime Twist DSP; Basic White & Pecan Pie CS; Granny Apple Green, Lemon Lime Twist, Berry Burst, Blueberry Bushel, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight & Pecan Pie Inks; Deckled Rectangles Dies; Pick of The Patch Builder Punch; Yellow Enamel Dots; #TOC245. ![]() Don't you just love our vertically layered sketch this round at Retro Rubber #214?? I sure do! Browsing through the Shelves of Retirement, my old Press On set from 2020 caught my eye - love this one! Though it doesn't have dies, it's a fun one to color and simple to fussy cut - lots of straight lines! I even tried my hand at the curvy steam image, so I could cover my card front in yummy coffee DSP, lol. I finished with some Cherry Cobbler punched hearts for a pop of color, and some Classic Matte Dots - super cute! I can't wait to see where you take our Retro sketch this round - meet you at the challenge! Press On Stamp Set (retired 2020); Crumb Cake & Early Espresso DSP; Basic White, Pool Party, Crumb Cake & Cherry Cobbler CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Pool Party & Crumb Cake Blends Markers; Heart to Heart Punch (retired); Stylish Shapes Dies; Classic Matte Dots; #RRCB214. |
