![]() We're feeling fresh this week at Sunday Stamps #313 with our pretty colors! It was pretty hard to not go in a floral direction with these, especially with those daisies in the inspiration pic! I couldn't help but pull out one of my favorite flower sets still, Color & Contour! I love the layering scallop edge dies, and that there's also a few dies for the flowers, too! This stem is so easy and organic, and the two-step flower colors are super unfussy! I always add a bit of green to the leaves with markers, and this time I added some green spatter in the background. Of course, I immediately covered most of it up with my stems, lol. I can't wait to see YOUR takes on these fresh-as-a-daisy colors - meet you at the challenge! Color & Contour Stamp Set; Daffodil Delight DSP (retired); Basic White CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Coastal Cabana, Daffodil Delight, Azure Afternoon & Granny Apple Green Inks; Granny Apple Green Blends Marker; Scalloped Contours & Timeless Arrangements Dies; Parakeet Party Matte Decorative Dots; #SSC313. ![]() Critters Class 2023 We just can't let any of our cute critters get away! ![]() Fun! This month's color theme at If You Give a Crafter a Cookie #182 is pastels! We have so much scope for these colors in our subtles collection, and I don't play there much, lol. So this was fun! I wanted to play again with the beautiful Timeless Arrangements bundle, and try it in these lighter colors - I'm so stuck on all our new blues these days, time for a reset! I am smitten with how this came out, and I used Crumb Cake with my pastels to try and keep everything pretty light. I think it worked! I floated everything over some Soft Sea Foam, and coordinated with Petal Pink. I finally tried my hand at some of the image stamps in the set, too - lovely! Timeless Arrangements Stamp Set; Soft Sea Foam DSP; Basic White, Crumb Cake & Petal Pink CS; Crumb Cake & Petal Pink Inks; Sot Sea Foam, Lemon Lolly & Balmy Blue Blends Markers; Timeless Arrangements Dies; Petal Pink Striped Ribbon from Duo Pack; White Matte Dots; #Cookie182. ![]() Critters Class 2023 We just can't let any of our cute critters get away! This time of year around here, we have serious ice cream on the brain pretty much ALL the time, lol. So I couldn't get past my Share a Milkshake set today! For the CAS brief, I decided to make the stamping all one layer, though I did have to try that corner detail idea from yesterday again. Since I was keeping it all one layer, I knew I needed to be strategic about my colors, though I still wanted it summery! So I hit on a combo of Lemon Lime Twist, Pecan Pie and some details in Cherry Cobbler. Hey, these would ALL make great shake flavors, too! I did quite a bit of stamping off to get the shading right, and I'm really happy with the result! Share a Milkshake Stamp Set; Basic White & Pecan Pie CS; Lemon Lime Twist, Pecan Pie & Cherry Cobbler Inks; Parakeet Party Matte Decorative Dots; #C4G325. ![]() Critters Class 2023 We just can't let any of our cute critters get away! Looks like a good one, but I haven't read it, so maybe I'll treat it like a sketch! So, that's kinda what I ended up doing, lol. In the end, I spotted my beloved Beautiful You set on the shelves of retirement, and that was it! I just really wanted to do the glamour gal, but I couldn't figure out how to set her in a landscape without legs! It just wasn't looking right, so I finally just said yes to the dress, and the hat, too, lol. I did feature Night of Navy with my paper piecing to go with the book cover, at least! Beautiful You Stamp Set (retired 2020); Night of Navy DSP (retired); Basic White & Night of Navy CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Night of Navy Inks; SU700 & Night of Navy Blends Markers; Enamel Dot Essentials; #TLC82. ![]() Oo, I have a great chance for some fun today - AAA Challenge #243 wants to see an outdoor activity! Coming right up! So, hopefully, it doesn't have to be an outdoor HUMAN activity, lol. My Little Monkey bundle showed up right before I tackled this challenge, and I couldn't resist! I showed my little guy swinging from a tree, which is definitely outside! Because of the monkey I chose, I didn't get to use the nifty builder punch that's part of the bundle, but luckily I actually LIKE fussy cutting! I did some quick coloring with my Blends, and finished with some Rustic Metallic Dots. Oh, and Jane on the challenge DT had this awesome little partial layer corner detail thing going on her card - I had to try THAT, too! Thanks, Jane! Little Monkey Stamp Set; Basic White & Early Espresso CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; SU100, SU300, SU800, Granny Apple Green & Lemon Lolly (on envelope!) Blends Markers; Rustic Metallic Dots; #AAA243. ![]() I love our layered sketch this round at Retro Rubber #210! Since it's Independence Day today here in the US, I knew I wanted to do a red, white and blue theme, but I wanted to make it birthday - my sister-in-law's birthday is today! I like to give a nod to the day without a patriotic theme necessarily - I think she sees a lot of that, lol. Anyway, our old Sweet Strawberry and Berry Blessings stamp sets from 2021 seem just right for my color idea! I chose some playful In Colors to go with our returned Misty Moonlight, and I love it! What a fun sketch! I can't wait to see YOUR fun cards with our layout this round - meet you at the challenge! Sweet Strawberry (retired 2022) & Berry Blessings (retired 2021) Stamp Sets; Tahitian Tide & Misty Moonlight DSP (both retired patterns); Basic White & Misty Moonlight CS; Misty Moonlight, Sweet Sorbet & Granny Apple Green Inks; Strawberry Builder Punch (retired); Cheerful Daisies Dies; Sweet Sorbet Matte Dots; #RRCB210. ![]() We want to see all things Birthday this round at Make My Monday #204! I hope there's balloons! I myself skipped the balloons and went for the kiwis, lol. I have no idea why, but I am smitten by our new Hello Kiwi set! So cute and playful, I couldn't resist finally inking it up for our birthday challenge! I decided to play up the green and black, and I added some juicy touches with the Spatters EF on my black layer, though it doesn't show very well. I was happy to discover that the kiwis were easy to punch out with a 2" Circle Punch, and I did them in both Granny Apple Green AND Lemon Lime Twist! The kiwi sentiment was a cinch to mask so I could use my Granny Apple Stamp-n-Write marker for the "kiwi" - something I can use my washi tape on at last, lol. I can't wait to see YOUR fun birthday projects - meet you at the challenge! Hello Kiwi Stamp Set; Dandy Designs DSP (retired); Basic White, Granny Apple Green & Basic Black CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Granny Apple Green & Lemon Lime Twist Inks; Granny Apple Green Stamp-n-Write Marker; 2" Circle Punch; Spatters EF; Parakeet Party Matte Dots; #MMM204. ![]() Very fun - Shopping Our Stash #499 would like to see the sentiment as the focus this round! I think I can fit in Festive Friday #137's Global Forgiveness Day, too! I remembered that I had some big word dies in my Art Gallery bundle, that just retired earlier this year - I even still have plenty of the DSP, too! I chose a pretty sheet for my background that has both Pool Party and Mossy Meadow in it, so there's my blue and green, and I added "sorry" to complete the thought. I finished with this still gorgeous Pool Party Sheer Ribbon, and added a Playful Pets trinket to get in a heart embellishment, too, lol. I'm really happy with how this came out - I'm not sure I've ever used this big word die before! Art Gallery Stamp Set (retired 2023); Fine Art Floral DSP (retired): Basic White & Basic Black CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Floral Gallery Dies (retired); Pool Party Sheer Ribbon (retired); Playful Pets Trinket (retired); #SOS499; #FF0137. ![]() Ahhh, I ALWAYS think of Christmas on July 1st - who doesn't?? Lol, so glad it's time for our monthly challenge at Sparkles Christmas Challenge #150 - we want you to include some gold this month! I'm still a little thin on the ground in current Christmas sets, so I went straight to my Shelves of Retirement! I spotted my Cherish the Season set from 2020 that features some bells, but really, I like the dies in this one more than the stamps, lol. So I pulled in this movie quote from Christmas Means More, also from 2020. They were made for each other! I added a strip of washi behind the detail cuts on the bells, so that I could inlay the colors like a breeze! This works so well! I can't wait to see YOUR Midas Touch this round, too - meet you at the challenge! Christmas Means More Stamp Set (retired 2020); Expressions in Ink DSP (retired); Basic White, Gold Foil, Shaded Spruce & Cherry Cobbler CS; Cherry Cobbler Ink; Layering Circles & Sounds of the Season Dies (both retired); Gold Cording Trim; Gilded Gems; #SCC150. ![]() We've got our eye on you with this classic sketch here at As You See It #302! Today felt like a coloring day to me, so I looked for images that I could get my Blends on, lol. I realized that I haven't yet used the bench image in Coffee With Friends - today is the day! I kept my card pretty basic, and focused on all that coloring! I ran a strip of retired Granny Apple Green DSP behind my circle to bring on a touch of the outdoors to go with the image, and had some fun with my markers! I can't wait to see YOUR projects for our sketch this round - meet you at the challenge!
