Good times - Shopping Our Stash #495 would like to see a fun fold! I don't do many of these! As soon as I saw the suggestion for a spinner card in the deets, I really wanted to make one, lol. It's been so long! My favorite spinners are with critters, naturally, lol, and I thought a cart0wheeling rhino would be the very DEFINITION of a wild birthday! I found the perfect background in our Fresh As A Daisy DSP, which has two pages of possible backgrounds to cut apart - looked like the African tundra to me! I even put my window punchouts behind the spinner slot, to help disguise it! This was so fun to make! Rhino Ready Stamp Set; Fresh As A Daisy DSP; Basic White, Pebbled Path, Garden Green & Azure Afternoon CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Smoky Slate & SU700 Blends Markers; Rhino Ready & Stylish Shapes Dies; Word Window Punch (retired); #SOS495. Love this - AAA Cards #238 has a torn edge challenge this round - so fun! Another new DSP I've been dying to break in is the pack that goes with our Beautiful Balloons suite, called Bright & Beautiful! This glorious brushstroke sheet is right on top, lol, and has been calling my name since it arrived! I tore both edges of a strip to place vertically, and then stamped my sentiment onto one of new balloon dies, and gave it some streamers. Even with my tiny rhinestones, it's still super simple, and super sweet! Beautiful Balloons Stamp Set; Bright & Beautiful DSP; Basic White & Lemon Lime Twist CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Beautiful Balloons Dies; Rhinestone Basic Jewels; #AAA238. Pumpkin Club April 29! We have a cute semaphore sketch for you this round at Retro Rubber #205! Since the sketch suggested to me a turned back corner of DSP opportunity, I started there, lol. Digging through my retired DSP stash, I came across my beloved Flowering Cactus medley - still a favorite for me! And since one of the colors is the departing Mint Macaron, I knew I had to go for it! I laid everything out per the sketch, and added a nice stacked cactus, also cut from the DSP, and finished with this sweet birthday sentiment. I think I need to let my inner Highland Heather out a bit more often, lol. I can't wait to see YOUR takes on our fun sketch, and your Retro goodies! Meet you at the challenge! Flowering Cactus Stamp Set (retired 2021); Flowering Cactus DSP; Basic White & Mint Macaron CS; Versamark Ink; White EP; Flowering Cactus & Tasteful Labels Dies (both retired); Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins; #RRCB205. The Flower Challenge #79 has an intriguing idea this round - focus on the background stamping! I'm so excited to start showing off some pre-order items with this challenge - meet Cheerful Daisies! I needed a daisy refresh, lol, but I still have time to play in some out-going colors, too! The DSP in this new suite features a lot of our new colors, so I went all stamp, ink and paper on this one, and did up my background in Black-Eyed Susans - I'm going to miss Mango Melody and Pear Pizzazz SO MUCH, sob. I got to break in the awesome die set for this one, too - love this tag shape! Cheerful Daisies Stamp Set; Basic White & Pear Pizzazz CS; Mango Melody, Early Espresso, Pear Pizzazz & Versamark Inks; White EP; Cheerful Daisies Dies; Pear Pizzazz Cotton Ribbon; Mango Melody Milky Dots; #TFC79. So pretty - Cupcake Inspirations #566 is sunflowers! This is perfect timing - I wanted an excuse to highlight our lovely Celebrate Sunflowers set! After a VERY respectable run, it will be retiring with this annual catalog - so sad! I loved this dramatic and colorable set - so versatile! I featured outgoing colors, too, with Evening Evergreen, Soft Succulent and So Saffron helping out with this one, lol. I'd eat these cupcakes any day! Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set; Basic White & Evening Evergreen CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Versamark Inks; So Saffron, Daffodil Delight, Evening Evergreen & oft Suede Blends Markers; Sunflowers Dies; Evening Evergreen Opal Rounds; #CIC566. Thank You Cards 2023 April 15! Much like birthday cards, you can never have too many thank yous on hand either! We'll be crafting 6 beautiful cards to express our thanks, along with envelopes! RSVP today to save your spot! Class is ON for Saturday, April 15 at 2 pm. Love this challenge - AAA Birthday #48 wants us to "layer it up!" I also wanted to incorporate our out-going In Colors today, AND a retiring stamp set - April is kind of a bittersweet month for demos, lol. Wildflower path ticked all the boxes for me today, because most of the images are meant to be layered together, too! Worked like a charm! I started by stacking up lots of CS layers - I usually only do two together, but I SO love the look of Soft Succulent with Evening Evergreen! {SOB} Then I did stems in Succulent, and layered on some grass in Evergreen, and pulled in the last two colors for the flowers, layered, of course! In that spirit, I did an offset layer of my sentiment, too! Going for the gusto today, lol... Wildflower Path Stamp Set; Basic White, Evening Evergreen & Soft Succulent CS; Evening Evergreen, Soft Succulent, Polished Pink & Pale Papaya Inks; Ornate Frames Dies (retired); Soft Succulent Open Weave Ribbon; Evening Evergreen Opal Rounds; #AAAB48. Lol, I am ALL OVER Festive Friday #0131's National Pet Day celebration! We love our little home zoo! Yes, I'm featuring another departing color today, too - I think this will be my second-most missed one from this refresh. Rich Razzleberry has been around for my whole Stampin' Up! experience, lol. It was a real stand-by for me! Anyway, I mushed a few things together to come up with this card - some retired Playful Pets DSP behind one of the cute kitties from our Sit Stay Relax host set, which will also be gone soon. I brought in a Pampered Pets sentiment, and some paw prints from Happy Tails. Whew! So, I hit cat, paw prints, a tiny bit of twine, and a birthday sentiment. I might even say my velvet ribbon is "furry," lol... Sit Stay Relax, Pampered Pets (retired 2022) & Happy Tails (retired 2020) Stamp Sets; Playful Pets DSP (retired); Basic White & Rich Razzleberry CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Rich Razzleberry Inks; Rich Razzleberry & Smoky Slate Blend Markers; Deckled Rectangle Dies; Velvet Ribbon in RR; Basic Gray Twine; Playful Pets Trinket (retired); #FF0131. Thank You Cards 2023 April 15! Much like birthday cards, you can never have too many thank yous on hand either! We'll be crafting 6 beautiful cards to express our thanks, along with envelopes! What did I want to do a triple of? I finally settled on our Sweetest Cherries set - love these juicy beauties! I actually deconstructed the sketch a little more than I usually would, but I really wanted the background sheet to show up around my cherry panel! I've decided I like the look of the cherries over the Calypso Coral DSP, too - I wasn't quite sure if it would clash, lol. And I can never have too many birthday cards! I can't wait to see YOUR triptych projects - Meet you at the challenge! Sweetest Cherries Stamp Set; Happy Forest Friends DSP; Basic White & Basic Black CS; Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso & Granny Apple Green Inks; Cherry Builder Punch; Poppy Parade Baker's Twine (shh, it was the only red I had, lol); Matte Black Dots; #SSC306. This week's challenge at Cardz 4 Guyz #318 is wide open - any coloring medium! Today seems like a great day to break in my new Rhino Ready stamp set - so I can color with my beloved Blends Markers! I finally broke down and got it because I don't have any rhinos for my critter collection, lol. It seems like this would be for a younger gent, so I didn't add any bling or embellies, though there's still plenty going on in this scene! I really LOVE these tree dies - I could see adding these in a LOT of places, and I used them to add a little height today. Such a cute set! Rhino Ready Stamp Set; Basic White, Shaded Spruce, Early Espresso & Granny Apple Green CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Versamark Ink; White EP; Smoky Slate, Crumb Cake, Shaded Spruce, Balmy Blue, Daffodil Delight & SU900 Blends Markers; Rhino Ready Dies; #C4G318. We want to see your retro birthdays this round at Retro Rubber #203! I went for a deep dive today, and came up with 2015's From The Herd - such a cute set, lol. I think the last time I colored this one it was with Stamp-n-Write Markers instead of Blends - so much easier with the Blends! I floated everything over this fun dotty panel of Dandy Designs DSP, and took my detail colors from that. I also pieced my bottom sentiment so I could get in the "party animals" part, lol, even though you can probably tell that they are from looking! Good times! I can't wait to see YOUR birthday wishes this round - meet you at the challenge! From The Herd Stamp Set (retired 2015); Dandy Designs (SAB 2023); Basic White & Coastal Cabana CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Fresh Freesia, Granny Apple Green & Coastal Cabana Inks; Crumb Cake, Gray Granite, Mango Melody, Bermuda Bay, Cajun Craze, Basic Black, SU400, SU 600 & SU1000 Blends Markers; #RRCB203.
