Woo, I am SOOOO excited about this flippin' class! I have been playing with the awesome new Label Card and Circle Card thinlet sets for a couple weeks now to get ready, and my brain is still spinning out ideas! I had to hold myself back, so I don't scare you guys off these things. But seriously - they are AWESOME! You are so going to love these! After thinking it over while I played, I decided to make this class be a step-step-step-up class! That is, our first project will be the basic card, a take on the cutie shown on the flyer when the thinlets were first released. The second card is boosted a litle - shows you how to play with lengthening the card stock for an extra panel that gives you room for a super WOW factor I dreamed up for you! The last project is a mini "Flip Album," with panels strung together and decorated, just waiting for you to add your fave pictures and notes. I know I'm famous for NOT being a scrapbooker, but boy-howdy, I am so impressed with myself on this one! I'll have little pics in mine when you come to class, so you can see the possibilities! So, I hope I see you next week in class! Thursday, September 19, 630 am for evening, or Friday, September 20 at 10 am if you prefer day-time! Both classes chez Heroldt as usual, with snacks and treats, of course - RSVP now! See you soon!

So, here are our bonus class projects - another reversible clothespin wreath! We'll be doing one for Halloween - "Spooky" and one for Thanksgiving - "Thankful." All materials prepped and ready for you, and as an added bonus, we'll be using some of the Paper Pumpkin background stamps as well - perfect, right?? These are also shown at My Pumpkin Challenge, of course - woo hoo! Make sure to RSVP for Thursday, Aug 29 at 6:30 pm for evening, or Friday, August 30 at 930 am for the day class. Can't wait to see you all! PS. I had to show you his hilarious commercial we got to see at Convention - from the commercial contest! This one was 4th place, but it was MY favorite! Yay, pumpkins! Don't forget - there's still a special going for $10 for the first two months if you subscribe by Aug 31 - contact me with any questions! I have had SO MUCH FUN putting together this month's Christmas in August card class! With the carry-over stamps from last season, and all the sophisticated-but-easy new toys and designs from this year, there really is something for everyone! I tried to focus on some stamp sets I know we all still have, and how to combine them with our new items - and of course, SOME all-2013 stuff that is just TOO tempting! I can't wait for you guys to try these! You'll be smit, I know! You know my goal: hand-made Holiday cards from all of us, lol... So, RSVP now for the Christmas in August card class, on Thursday, August 22, 630 pm, or Friday, August 23, 10 am if you prefer a day class. Drinks and treats will be on offer as usual, of course! And save the dates for 8/29 or 8/30 for our Fall/Halloween Reversible Wreath bonus class - I have the sample all set for you to check out already! And just in time for our class announcement (weird, huh?) Stampin' Up! has released their latest set of single stamps - The Holiday Assortment! This is a fabulous collection, most of which go with a framelit or punch as well, and they range in price from $4.95 to $8.95. Click the picture to view the full flyer and check out all the details! I have printed copies to share with you next week in class, too! OK, gang, time for one last class before I go to convention - woo hoo! This month, I thought we'd take a crack at lightening my retired stash of DSP and have a Rosette Wreath Extravaganza! I will make it WAY EASY for you! All you'll need to bring is a hot glue gun, if you have one - I will provide all other materials! (If you have one of the AWESOME silicone mats, you should bring that, too.) Help a sister out and come make a dent in my hoards! (that means buttons, gewgaws and ribbons, too, ACK!) My sample wreath is in a selection of yellows, but if you let me know what color or theme you want to highlight, I will make it happen for you! (Sorry, we can't ALL do yellow!) I've already made up sheet packs for 1 more yellow, greens, red/white/blue, game night, Fall, Halloween - the possibilities are almost endless, so just sing out! What decor are you missing? Let's fill it in! So, class will be held Thursday, June 20, 630 pm, chez Heroldt, or, for my day-trippers, Friday, June 21, 10 am. RSVP today with your color/theme choice (or just come and pick something out when you get here!), so I can be prepped and ready! PS. We will of course also be doing a SIMPLE card featuring one of the awesome new suites - "Six-Sided Sampler"- CASE'd from the new catty - what do you think? You didn't think I'd let that slip, did you?? PPS. I had time to do a restock the Sale Box too - lots of "new" retired sets to choose from at bargain prices - get them away from me! So, with so many graduating seniors this week in our little gang, I figured we'd push a week for class, and have our first official class of summer! I'm pretty psyched to add another shadow box insert to our collection: here's one for Father's Day! You could make it say something else, too, if you wanted it to be more generic. Like maybe, "Dude!" That would be hiLARious! To go with, we also have two quick but dramatic cards, both designed with the idea of keeping them generically masculine, just in case you don't need a Father's Day card - what do you think? There are numerous images and sentiments to swap out very easily to meet your needs! So, RSVP today for our All About the Guys Class, Thursday, May 30, 630 pm, chez Heroldt; or, if you need a day class, Friday, May 31, 10 am, also chez Heroldt! And just to put another bug in your ear, your gift this month is your brand spankin' new 2013-14 Idea Book & Catalog - I have them waiting for you already! Can't wait to see you all! Oh my GOODNESS! I have been playing dress up ALL DAY LONG! Here are the projects I have for next week's class, a Mother's Day theme - uber girlie! We'll be making this cute shadow box insert with 5 different dresses - mine says "Mother," but you could do a different word if you prefer. There's also a coordinating card, that you can put a Happy Mother's Day wish on the inside of, and last, a quick and simple "corsage" of the Creped Filter Paper from the Spring Mini catalog, that has a gift card base to go with. The coolest thing is that you can color your corsage with Color Spritzers in whatever color you want! How cool is that?? So, class is Thursday, April 18, 630 pm, here at Chez Heroldt - RSVP today to save your spot! Here's the first card for next week's class - all Easter themes! I had this epiphany - do you realize we haven't actually done any cards yet this year?? Sorry ladies, we have to do at least a few once in a while! I have some great card layouts, new techniques and fun folds planned for you, though - that you can use all year 'round! When we first got the oval framelits, I was already thinking ahead to this card - an Easter Egg Easel card - I figured it would be a good place to bring back the Chocolate Bunny, too! So, our next class is Thursday, March 21, 630 pm, here at Heroldt House! If you need a day-time class, I could do Monday, March 25, 930 am. Make sure to RSVP with which class you prefer so I can prep projects and goodies for you! See you then! OK, here's the other shadow box we'll be doing in next week's class - finally, an insert for April! I knew we needed to use the cute little umbrellas, and the Sunshine & Sprinkles DSP to go with is just perfect! This insert is made using as many punches and dies as we can, so we have all the time we need on that St. Patrick punch art on the other insert... So, don't forget to RSVP for Thursday, Feb 21, 630 pm, for a fun Spring decor class! Here's our first of two projects for next week's class (Thursday, February 21, 630 pm, $20, all materials provided, don't forget to RSVP!) I decided it was time to fill in some Spring holes in our shadow box collection! This first one, obviously, is for St Patrick's Day, and should go great with the "other side" of our clothespin wreaths! My version shows pretty much EVERY option I came up with, I couldn't seem to stop (go figure, right?), but you can do as much or as little detail as you like - fun stuff! It'll be good to have a little Saint on my hall table! Keep an eye out for our other project - an April Showers theme! OK, you guys can totally blame Lisa V for finding this project for us - she saw a Valentine's version of a clothespin wreath out on Pintarest (where I don't go, to prevent sensory overload!) and sent me a picture to figure out. So, like, ok, 10 minutes later I was on eBay ordering us a giant crate of clothespins! WHAT A COOL PROJECT! The version I saw was by Sharon Cheng - brilliant! I think the part that was coolest was when I realized that if we put it together right, you could, hee hee, make it REVERSIBLE! So that's what we'll be doing. The Valentine's side uses this year's More Amore DSP and Spring Mini 2013 accessories. Sweetness! The other side I figured we would work ahead a bit to St. Patrick's Day - which I always have a tough time decorating for! This ended up being a mix of all the green DSPs I could dig out of my stash - so fun! SO, the January bonus class will be on January 31, 630 pm here at Chez Heroldt, and will be to make BOTH versions of the clothespin wreaths shown here, all materials provided, $25. I can even throw in some extra ribbon for hanging if you see something that catches your eye! This was so fun to make, and you know I'll do the tedious stuff ahead of time so I can to make it painless and perfect for you! I really worked out a system! There might be other font choices for the words by then, too, I have a couple of new alphabet sets on the way! RSVP for your spot today, so I can make sure to have your wreath base ready! |
