This week's In{k}spire Me #156 looks positively PLANETARY! I think the Heroes need in on this one... So, this is where I ended up. Help me out here, can you see the sketch in my card? I feel like I maybe strayed a bit too far. But, like, green alien landscapes were calling me! (Complete with Blender Pen smog!) Can't you see giving this card to your PTO president extraordinaire?? I sure can! This one's for all you ladies who RULE! Now, go dye your hair Blackberry Bliss! I'll supply the Hello Honey mask, lol... Aww, are you sad you missed Pumpkin Club this past Saturday?? Yes, you are! We made four AWESOME projects, exclusive to our new Pumpkin Club! Now we're keeping up the challenge with this month's My Pumpkin Challenge #0714 - Celebrate! This month's kit is jam-packed with pinwheel goodies, so much so that I have more projects to offer even after our lovely Club Day! We talked at Club about what else to do with the straws - here it is! Make firecrackers! I cut the straw into 2" lengths, squirted a shot of hot glue in one end, and stuck in a twist of the Silver Tinsel Trim I've been hoarding for I don't know how long - looks like they're about to crackle off the card, huh? Now, what does your pumpkin celebration look like? And remember, to get in on the Pumpkin Club action, just subscribe here - Pumpkin Club is free for all my subscribers! Paper Pumpkin Pinwheel Party Kit; plus, Real red, Night of Navy & Whisper White CS; Real Red Ink; Stars Decorative Mask; Silver Tinsel Trim (retired.) Summer School is OPEN! For the months of June and July, we're still having summer school - your chance to take any past class you want! Browse my past offerings, or describe to me something you remember us doing and then just email me which one you'd like to make up or repeat, and if you prefer day, evening or weekend. We'll schedule just for you, and work around your summer plans! No need to worry about being away for our regular class nights! Once classes are scheduled, I'll post them here, so if anyone else wants to jump in on your choice, they can! Our Fall/Halloween Clothespin Wreath Class is now scheduled! We'll be getting together on Saturday July 19, 3 pm to put this cutie together! RSVP now if you'd like to join us, and remember that additional dates are available - the beauty of Summer School! Love these little word bubbles in Clean & Simple #295, totally need to up that with In{k}spire Me #151's color challenge! And of course, this color challenge pretty much cries out for the Be the Star stamp set - how not, with July 4 right around the corner? I decided the sort of hand-drawn look of the star stamps would also pair up just right with this other new set: Chalk Lines. I love the pen-and-ink look of it, and it totally helps that this stamp is a rendition of that yummy new DSP I've pretty much used up completely already too, the Moonlight DSP pack. Now I can make more of my own, in any color I want! Be the Star & Chalk Lines Stamp Sets; Whisper White, Real Red & Coastal Cabana CS; Night of Navy, Real Red & Coastal Cabana Inks; Stars & Bitty Banners Framelits; Basic Jewel Rhinestones & Jumbo Rhinestones. RSVP today! We'll be updating this project with the new Day to Day stamp set! Pumpkin Club Saturday, June 28! Our very first Pumpkin Club is scheduled for Saturday, June 28, 3 pm, chez Heroldt! My plan is for Pumpkin Club to take place the last Saturday of every month from now on, at 3 pm. My intention is for Pumpkin Club to be free with your subscription, or maybe never more than $5 if we decide to really pump up our Pumpkins, lol. RSVP today so I can make sure I have enough snacks for all! At this first meeting, we'll be working on the June Kit, which has a patriotic theme! If you'd like to join in on the Pumpkin Action with us, you can subscribe to Paper Pumpkin here at My Paper Pumpkin! You can also talk to me about getting a pre-paid subscription, for yourself or as a gift for someone else - it's a great deal! Still bringin' in the happy at this month's My Pumpkin Challenge #0614 - Everything Happy! As previously mentioned, I have a nice big box of new goodies to play with this week, too, so I had to bring one of them out for today's card: the Little Letters Thinlet Dies. I am officially smitten - they are AWESOME! Since I did make my letters be punched out, I needed to go back for some nice leftover Pumpkin scrap, and the first one I found that also used Very Vanilla was the card stock from the Noel kit, and that dictated the color scheme from there... These kits are so generous - on my little history trip I noted that I have a little something still from almost every kit I've ever gotten - yikes! Paper Pumpkin Hey, Man & Noel Stamp Sets; plus, Something To Say Stamp Set; Very Vanilla & Real Red CS; Real Red Ink; Little Letters Thinlet Dies; Brights Candy Dots in Real Red. Summer School is OPEN! Did you miss out on a past project that we did? Have a gap in your shadow box insert collection? Gave away your creation and wish you still had one for your house? For the months of June and July, we'll be having summer school - your chance to take any past class you want! First Summer Class Scheduled! Our first summer school class has just been scheduled for Thursday, June 19, 630 pm, chez Heroldt! I got to see a little preview of the kit, which doesn't happen every time - it was SO EXCITING! It made me go and add a second subscription to just play more with, lol! If you'd like to join in on the Pumpkin Action with us, you can subscribe to Paper Pumpkin here at My Paper Pumpkin, and select me as your demonstrator! You can also talk to me about getting a pre-paid subscription, for yourself or as a gift for someone else - it's a great deal! Ok, this week's Fab Friday Sketch #43 was SO hard for me! I just couldn't get anything to work, grRRrr! I think part of the problem is that my big new catty order just arrived, and I have SO many new toys, I'm having a hard time getting my head straight for actually making stuff with it, lol... I had to start over three times, and I changed stamp sets every time, something I NEVER do, sigh... I finally decided I needed a little encouragement, so I made myself this cute cute card, to remind myself that it'll all be OK, lol... Time to bring on the dazzle! Be the Star Stamp Set; Sweet Taffy DSP; Whisper White CS; Daffodil Delight & Basic Black Inks; Stars Framelits; Stars Decorative Mask; Brights Candy Dots in Daffodil Delight. Summer School is OPEN! So, I just can't get enough of the new In Color Blackberry Bliss - I'm having dreams in it, I think! Until my next order comes in, I only have the initial pre-order toys I picked up earlier to play with, so I just keep finding new ways to trot them out, lol... I had fun matching up this stamp set with this DSP sheet - blackberry bubbles for everyone! Happy Congratulations Stamp Set; Moonlight DSP Pack; Sahara Sand, Blackberry Bliss, Whisper White & Hello Honey CS; Basic Black, Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey & Versamark Inks; Black Embossing Powder; 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon in Blackberry Bliss; Linen Thread; Scallop Tag Topper Punch; Neutrals Candy Dots in Smoky Slate; Marker Spritzer Tool (retired). So, here's my latest tag-tastic creation for this month's My Pumpkin Challenge #0514 - Tags Everywhere! One of the things I like to do with tags is use them for really cute bookmarks. I knew I wanted to do something like that here, but combine it with a little pocket card for holding the bookmark in place. This way, you can still add a sentiment BEHIND the bookmark or whatever, so it really does function as a card! Mine says, "Stay Calm and Be Awesome," from the Show & Tell Photopolymer sets... So pumpkin says, "Hey, your TAG is showing!" Let's have a peek! Paper Pumpkin - Glittered Greetings & Framed Love; plus, Coastal Cabana, Calypso Coral & Pear Pizzazz CS; This & That Epic Day DSP; Calypso Coral & Pear Pizzazz Inks; 1/4" Circle Punch; Neutrals Brads Collection; Ruffled Ribbon in Calypso Coral (retired). Pop Up Class May 31! Are you sad you missed our Pop-Up Card Class? Of course you are! But there's still time to fit it in - one more chance! We'll be making 4 cards, that all fold flat and fit in standard envelopes, but pop up and out to yummy goodness on the inside! We'll be doing "portrait" and "landscape" cards both, for a little variety, and one card will be all about our new In Colors, so you'll have some samples right away, to go with your amazing new catalog that will be waiting here for you! I can't wait for you to try these cards - you'll be stunned at how fun they are to deck out! Class is still on for Saturday, May 31, 10 am (please note time change!), chez Heroldt, with snacks and drinks as usual, of course, still for $20! RSVP today to make sure I have your supplies cut and waiting for you! Fun little layered elements at this week's Freshly Made Sketch #136! Since they made a point of being so reassuring about choosing our own shapes, I decided to return to my preview hostess set, Life's Adventure, for another fun image to go with! For some reason, I decided I wanted to take the cool arrows from the Retro Fresh DSP off the bias - now I have some funky triangles leftover to play with later, too, sigh. I'm so enamored of this color scheme, though, and it was fun to make this little retro colored bike with my markers! Life's Adventure Stamp Set; Retro Fresh DSP; Very Vanilla, Baked Brown Sugar, Coastal Cabana & a tiny sliver of Tangerine Tango CS; Baked Brown Sugar, Coastal Cabana & Tangerine Tango Inks; Basic Metal Buttons; PL Corner Rounder Punch. Last Pop Up Card Class May 31 Are you sad you missed our Pop-Up Card Class? There's still time to fit it in - one more chance! We'll be making 4 cards, that all fold flat and fit in standard envelopes, but pop up and out to yummy goodness on the inside! RSVP today to make sure I have your supplies cut and waiting for you! It's that time again - one last chance to create for My Pumpkin Challenge #0414 - Special Moments! Can't wait to see what you have! For my final inspiration, I'll freely admit - I totally stole an idea from NEXT month's My Paper Pumpkin, Framed Love. Did you get yours yet? OMG, it's completely adorable! Can't wait to start that challenge! So, since I'm all distracted by that new red box sitting on my desk, I decided to cheat a little bit, and do a take-off from that. Sh, don't tell on me! This was actually easier to put together than usual, thanks to the advent of photopolymer in the Pumpkin - no Stamp-A-Ma-Jig required this time - can't believe I was able to "free-hand" this one! So, how'd you dress your pumpkin this week? We wanna see! Paper Pumpkin - Glittered Greetings & Wahoo; plus, Pear Pizzazz, Calypso Coral & Whisper White CS; Pear Pizzazz & Calypso Coral Inks; Bitty Banners & Ovals Collection Famelits; Occasions Piercing Template; Subtles Candy Dots in Pear Pizzazz & Calypso Coral. Another happy chance to combine two challenges! This time I have Clean & Simple #289 and Nacho Average Challenge #86! I know I really need to start getting some final ink time in on some of my retiring {SOB} sets, so today's card has two! I envisioned a quick and simple card, with some bold splashes of color from the color challenge side of things. It wasn't til I was ready to post that I noticed that the DT also did something with feathers - argh! Oh well - great minds think alike! Fine Feathers (retiring) & Express Yourself (retiring hostess) Stamp Sets; Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry & Strawberry Slush CS & Inks, plus Whisper White CS - that's it! (after yesterday's tome, we needed a break, right?) |
