![]() I know the time is fast approaching when I have to take down the Christmas decorations, {sob}, so I always want to bring on the Valentine's decor P-D-Q - I can't have a naked house after all the holiday extravagance! I thought this standing-tag table banner was SO adorable - I figured we had to do one for class, to go with our shadow boxes! And then you can fold it up and tuck it away til next year - how cute is that?? If we didn't do all the dimensional stuff, you could even make cute cards this way, too, I was thinking... ![]() Anyway, this is definitely on our list of class projects for Jan 17! I think we'll make the kanzashi into a necklace, maybe with a pin to go with, perhaps, this banner, and a card for your sweetie... If there's interest, I figured we could also have a bonus class on Jan 31, for those that don't have a Valentine's Day shadow box insert, or who want to make the second one that Lisa and I did last year - those pictures are below. The bonus class will be for one shadow box insert, and two cards, in case the one we do on the 17th isn't enough to cover all your sweethearts! Hee hee... We can definitely do a mix-and-match-make-up of whatever you like, more cards, treats, whatever! Let me know what you think about the 31st!

![]() Well, I think I might have gone a little overboard with this one! I just couldn't stop trotting out all the little pieces! For this Retro Sketch #44, I decided to ink up Hearts A Flutter, AND use the awesome framelits that go with this time, too - I'm also so attracted these little sweeps pf banners, had to add that element, too, sigh. See how I did a square shape, too? Breaking all the records! Another fun layout! I know we have a wonderful adventure in front of us! Thanks for being such blessings in my life! ![]() Whew, I take a few days off, and lose my mojo! Good thing Retro Sketches #43 arrived to jump-start me! I'd been wanting to play with a few more new toys, and figured, what the heck, how many can I fit on one card?? So, the good news is, the Borders Scoring Plate ROCKS! It's actually almost too easy to use - you could really go overboard with this sucker! And, uh, it works even better when you peel off the protective film that comes on it. On both sides. Clearly (yuk, yuk) Stampin' Up! was testing me, sigh... My Little Valentine stamp set; Pool Party & Whisper White CS; More Amore DSP; Needlepoint Border embossing folder; Sycamore Street B&B Pack; self-adhesive rhinestones. ![]() Can you tell I'm having a little escape from Christmas these days?? I needed a little relief, for sure... I have to admit, too, that the unspeakable events unfolding these last few days in CT have had me dwelling desperately on the notion of love. I can only thank God for His gifts of creativity and beauty, His granting of grace in our love for one another and all His creation. Help me to hear Your Voice, Father, and to be Your light to my fellow travelers in this world. Bring us Your peace, always... Brilliant! This card combines the stamp set with the new Fashionable Hearts embosslit, as well! Whisper White & Real Red CS; Brights DSP; black embossing powder; You're My Type stamp set; Fashionable Hearts embosslit ![]() Here's a lovely and simple card I CASed from Mary Brown of Stamper Camper fame! What a perfect use for the Petal Card punch! And another chance to clear out some retired DSP - yay! Now that bug is "too big" for school Valentines, I know I really need to bring it at home, so I thought this Countdown Kisses Calendar would be perfect! I've gotten a real work-out this week on my new Framelits dies, thanks in part to this project! I can share the "big picture" of next week's class with you all! As you can see, we will make a new insert for our shadow box, and two cards, both presented to you with a Valentine's flair! You'll be able to swap out the sentiments if there's something else that suits better, but it was hard to not get swept in the moment! Let me know if you plan on coming, so I can make sure to prep supplies for you! Wednesday, 1/18, 6:30 pm, $20 |
