Now this is hilarious, and dare I say, a little ironic, ahem, lol. Cardz 4 Guyz #339's theme this round is "no balls sport!" Tricky, lol! I did a quick review of my current stamp first, and just like that I spotted Hey Chuck, who has a little skateboard! Perfect! I love this shrieking guy, he always reminds me of Chicken Joe from Surf's Up, lol, and I think he's the greatest fit with the skateboard! I floated him over this dotty panel of Daffodil Delight - chickens always make me think yellow and red, for some reason, lol. I tucked his sun behind him, and floated this chopped up sentiment down one side - somehow it just fits, lol. What fun! Hey Chuck Stamp Set; Daffodil Delight DSP; Basic White & Real Red CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Real Red, Daffodil Delight, Smoky Slate & Color Lifter Blends; Hey Chuck Dies; Cherry Cobbler Matte Decorative Dots; #C4G339. Lol, we have such an awesome fill-in-the-blank challenge for you this round at As You See It #316! What was YOUR latest crafting purchase?? My latest stamp set is the Quiet Reflection set, which I got for an upcoming class. I sometimes find the DistINKtive style of stamps a little challenging to work with, but this one went more smoothly than for me! After a couple experiments, I opted for this "stamped off" version, as a little softer in my chosen colors, and then I layered everything up to the max using my Rectangle Stitched dies. I was able to sneak in a couple SAB goodies, too - love that! I can't wait to get a peek at YOUR new toys! Meet you at the challenge! Quiet Reflection Stamp Set; Softly Stippled DSP; Basic White, Pebbled Path & Calypso Coral CS; Calypso Coral & Pebbled Path Inks; Rectangle Stitched Dies; Calypso Coral Opague Faceted Gems; Calypso Coral Baker's Twine; #AYSI316. We at Sparkles Christmas Challenge #157 want to see you getting merry in Kraft! So in SU! world, kraft means Crumb Cake, lol. We HAVE occasionally had some true kraft heavy-weight specialty items, but I think it's been a few years! Crumb Cake has been my go-to neutral since I first started! I decided to play with my beloved Above It All set today - I just am so hooked on these retro trees! I did a nice dotty background with my Dots & Spots die, over white, and then set up this pretty landcsape with three different size trees. I heat embossed the stamped ones in clear, too, for a little variation. A few Gold Iridescent Pastel Gems, and I am all good! I can't wait to see YOUR krafty projects for this one - meet you at the challenge! Above It All Stamp Set (retired 2024); Basic White & Crumb Cake CS; Crumb Cake & Versamark Inks; Clear EP; Above & All, Dots & Spots and Nested Essentials Dies; Gold Iridescent Pastel Gems; #SCC157. Well these are some cuties! Cupcake Inspirations #586 is running a "fairy tales" challenge this round! Well, I don't know about a specific fairy tale, but I spotted that pirate cupcake, and decided to take my cue from there! I realized that my little-used On The Ocean set has skull-and-crossbones in it - just what I need! I came up with this lovely pirate ship one some pretty waves pretty quickly, and played with a blending pen to get the effect I wanted on my ship, even though it's only stamped in Crumb Cake - good trick! I pulled in my beloved Waves of the Ocean DSP for some extra waves, and finished with a few Fine Sparkle Gems in Pacific Point. I'm so happy with how this came out! On The Ocean Stamp Set; Waves of the Ocean DSP (retired); Basic White, Pool Party & Azure Afternoon CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Crumb Cake, Gray Granite & Azure Afternoon Inks; Blender Pen; On The Ocean Dies; Pacific Point Fine Sparkle Gems (retired); #CIC586. Get your blender brushes ready - we'd like to see a Winter Blue Ombre this round at Retro Rubber #223! This was a tough one for me - I have to put right out there - I think I'm rubbish at ink blending, lol. I gave it a good go, though! I decided to blend over a mask, and this fractured design from 2022's Plenty of Patterns is one of my favorites! All the blue had me thinking nautical, so I went with THIS favorite from 2015's Adventure Awaits, and stamped an anchor on my envelope from 2022's Sailing Home to go with (no naked envelopes!) I do like how this came out! I can't wait to see YOUR ombre projects, too! Meet you at the challenge! Adventure Awaits (retired 2015) & Sailing Home (retired 2022) Stamp Sets; Basic White CS; Night of Navy, Blueberry Bushel & Azure Afternoon Inks; Blending Brush; Circles Collection Dies; Plenty of Patterns Decorative Masks (retired 2022); Blueberry Bushel Tinsel Gems; #RRCB223. Let's see you show off your pattern paper this round at Make My Monday #218! I have a little bit of my gorgeous Countryside Inn DSP left to play with, so I figured I'd see how much more I could use! I combined it with the wonderful Filled With Happiness set, too - still a few more sentiments I can ink up in that one, too! I tried combining two - the "you're wonderful" shape that goes with the punch, and then I heat-embossed this Thanks over it to double up the fun, lol. I little Night of Navy twine and a few Misty Moonlight Tinsel Gems, and I am set! I can't wait to see YOUR patterned paper projects - meet you at the challenge! Filled With Happiness Stamp Set; Countryside Inn DSP; Basic White, Misty Moonlight & Night of Navy CS; Misty Moonlight & Versamark Inks; White EP; Modern Label Punch; Night of Navy Baker's Twine; Misty Moonlight Tinsel Gems; #MMM218. My favorite! AAA Cards #257 has an anything CAS goes challenge on this round, and we can add Valentine's if we want! I decided to go for it, because I still have the Sending Love bundle on my desk waiting for some ink, lol. I so wanted this mailbox for my collection! I tried to keep it simple, and just focused on the mailbox, a few hearts, and that sweet little bird - today was definitely a good coloring day! I snipped up this long LOVE sentiment to align with the post more, and finished with a few Pool Party Adhesive-Backed Flowers - so cute! Time to check the mail - for some love! Sending Love Stamp Set; Basic White & Real Red CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Real Red Ink; Blender Pen; Granny Apple Green, Crumb Cake, Pool Party & Real Red Blends Markers; Sending Love Dies; Adhesive-Backed Hearts & Flowers; #AAA257. Yay! Festive Friday #151 has a new inspo list for us - and it's all about Valentine's Day! I feel like I was able to pull together a wide range of elements for this one, a challenge for me because I don't often get much in the way of Valentine's stuff, lol. Like, I was thrilled to use my old PS. I Love You set from 2012 - still a fave of mine - I love this "heart of hearts" image! I also still had some Sweet Talk DSP left - I think this was from a Valentine's suite from 2022? You could have knocked me over with a feather when I spotted this sheet with red and purple hearts on it! Score! And my stamp set even has a cupid, too, which I HAD to include, lol. Hard to believe I still have these punches, too, shhh! So I covered red, purple, pearls, love sentiment, hearts and cupid - not too shabby! PS I Love You Stamp Set (retired 2012); Sweet Talk DSP (retired); Basic White & Highland Heather CS; Real Red & Highland Heather Inks; 1 1/2" Circle, Full Heart (retired) & Modern Label (retired) Punches; Sweet Sorbet Iridescent Pearls; #FF0151. This is nice - Time Out Challenge #255 has a wonderful haiku to inspire us this round! This haiku seems to me to be really calling out for a monochrome card, lol. And with the Winter theme - I just couldn't resist playing with my old Jingle All The Way bundle from 2015. The set is bundled with a set of landscape dies to be layered for gorgeous winter scenes! I kept it all in shades of White, with Smoky Slate accents, and finished with a few tiny silver pearls, too. I feel like this card is speaking the haiku for me! Jingle All The Way Stamp Set (retired 2015); Basic White, White Glimmer & Smoky Slate CS; Smoky Slate Ink; Sleigh Ride Dies (retired); Snowflake Sky EF; Silver Pearls; #TOC255. Such a cute theme at this round's Shopping Our Stash #513 - "Once upon a time!" I'll have to think of a good fairy tale! As I looked over my stamp shelves, I got to thinking about my Apple Harvest bundle - I sure haven't used that one in a while! In honor of Snow White, I pulled it out! I went for this simple layout using a "red" DSP I have on hand - this pretty flower pattern from the Bee Mine pack, that's actually Sweet Sorbet, shh. Then I laid my apple branch over it, and added a few diecut blossoms and leaves for that little bit extra. I really like all the spare black details for this one, too - makes the reds pop! Apple Harvest Stamp Set; Bee Mine DSP; Basic White, Basic Black & Granny Apple Green CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Real Red, Granny Apple Green, Crumb Cake & Petal Pink Blends Markers; Apple Blossoms & Nested Essentials Dies; Timber EF; Black Baker's Twine; Matte Black Dots; #SOS513.
