This should be good - Farm Quest #44 is ready with the next challenge - winter sports! I pondered for a while if a one-horse open sleigh could be a winter sport, lol, and finally decided to pull out my trusty Alpine Adventure set again - I've been leaning on this one hard lately! I stamped a set of snowshoes (have you ever tried it? I did once in Banff - it's WAY harder than I thought it would be!) to go over this gorgeous perspective sheet from the One Horse Open Sleigh DSP, at least, lol. Since I was all Misty Moonlight all over, I dropped a few spots of pretty Cherry Cobbler Matte Dots around to finish things off - but maybe those give the wrong idea? I was thinking BIRDS, like cardinals against the snow, lol. A pretty contrast, anyway! Alpine Adventure Stamp Set (retired 2018); One Horse Open Sleigh DSP; Basic White & Misty Moonlight CS; Misty Moonlight Ink; Alpine Sports Dies (retired); Cherry Cobbler Matte Dots; #FQCB44. Yum! I love our bright colors this round at Hand Stamped Sentiments #430! Whew - I'm really getting hit with the color challenges this week, lol. I mulled this one over for a bit til I remembered my gorgeous Masterfully Made DSP, part of the Gorgeously Made suite! Just the thing! I floated a lovely torn edge panel of Pretty Peacock over a Night of Navy base, then added some detail sin Berry Burst and White. It was fun to play with some of the edge dies in this one - I got both the spiral bound edge AND the deckled curve on my piece of Berry Burst DSP. I lightened things up by cutting my stem in White, but I couldn't resist heat-embossing my sentiment in White onto Berry as well. A few Berry Burst Tinsel Gems finish things off! I can't wait to see YOUR projects in our bright candy colors - meet you at the challenge! Gorgeously Made Stamp Set; Masterfully Made DSP; Basic White, Night of Navy & Berry Burst CS; Versamark Ink; White EP; Gorgeously Made Dies; Berry Burst Tinsel Gems; #HSS430. Another cute combo at this round's In{k}spire Me #525 - check out those colors! This card ended up being quite the challenge for me, lol. Including the Copper Clay in that color line-up - yikes! It was a struggle, I admit, lol. AND, those colors plus that swoosh spelled floral to me - not my best medium, either! I finally settled on our SAB set, Softly Sophisticated. I was able to snag this one during a pre-order window in which I had a LIMITED selection of items to choose from - and this was one! I've actually used the embossing folder that comes with it a few times now, but not today. I built my floral sprays, and finished with my sentiment in the dreaded Copper Clay - whew! And I know JUST who I'm going to send this to! Softly Sophisticated Stamp Set; Highland Heather DSP (retired); Basic White & Melon Mambo CS; Mossy Meadow, Melon Mambo, Highland Heather & Copper Clay Inks; Melon Mambo Solid Faceted Gems; #IMC525. We have some fun colors for you to play with this round at Sunday Stamps #327! I was really stumped by these colors, I have to tell you! Even the sample pic was no clue! Then, I got to looking over my new Rock Star suite - they make guitars and picks in EVERY color, right? Game on! I started by picking this sheet from the DSP pack as one I could pick out a few colors on - I love when we have black and white sheets we can color up ourselves! Then I decided on this rockin' Shaded Spruce guitar, and a nice big Pumpkin Pie pick for my sentiment! Woo hoo! I finished with a few Pecan Pie Solid Gems, but I don't think they show all that much... I can't wait to see YOUR projects with these crazy colors - meet you at the challenge! Rock Star Stamp Set; Rock & Roll DSP; Basic White & Poppy Parade CS; Poppy Parade, Pumpkin Pie, Shaded Spruce & Pecan Pie Blends Markers; Rock Star Dies; Pecan Pie Solid Gems; #SSC327. I really like Christmas Craft Creations' January theme - glitter and sparkle! I wanted to try to use a Christmas set that survived the end of the holiday catty, lol, so I played with Merriest Trees, which is carrying over - yay! However, I had to dig DEEP to find a sentiment that had the actual word "sparkle" in it! I finally found my Sparkle of the Season set from 2021 - whew! After decking out my pretty tree in gold emboss and glimmer, I added the cute sentiment right over it, and finished with a few Gold Sparkle Gems. Simple and sparkly, I think! Merriest Trees & Sparkle of the Season (retired 2021) Stamp Sets; Basic White & Granny Apple Green CS; Granny Apple Green, Versamark & Real Red Inks; Gold EP; Gold Glimmer Paper; Merriest Trees Dies; Gold Sparkle Gems; #CCCJanuary2024. I had some fun picking the colors for this one at As You See It #315! It might just be my inspiration pic, but these colors said SPRING to me, lol, so I decided to try out my new Excellent Eggs bundle! One egg to color and I cut out three more! This set has very fun dies - so many details we can add to three different sized eggs - the dies are totally why I got this bundle, lol. We haven't had a fun Easter Egg set for a while, and all the dots and stitching, the fun stripes we can play with - it was a must-have for me, lol. I had some fun pulling together this Bright Granny Apple background, and then coloring in the stamped egg - yum! I added a few of the fancy diecut eggs, and finished with some Melon Mambo Glossy Dots - such happy colors! I can't wait to see YOUR projects with our playful colors - meet you at the challenge! Excellent Eggs Stamp Set; Granny Apple Green DSP (retired); Basic White, Mossy Meadow, Crushed Curry & Melon Mambo CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Granny Apple Green, Melon Mambo & Mossy Meadow Blends Markers; Crushed Curry Stamp-n-Write Marker; Excellent Eggs & Tasteful Labels (retired) Dies; Melon Mambo Glossy Dots; #AYSI315. Cardz 4 Guyz #338 is back from their break, and they want to see something new from our stash! Yay! This seems like a great time to test the ink on our new Trusty Tools suite - it' fabulous! I started small with just one stamped image - the paintbrush, lol. But I did it in three different colors, and got to9 also play with the two and three stamps for it - I so love the detail we can add! The die was perfect - so fun that it cuts the tiny hole for hanging the handle, too, and I went with this subtle gray granite sheet from the perfect SAB DSP that goes with it all! I thought this looked more "painty," lol, but it was tough because the back is also gorgeous! I popped up part of my sentiment on this fun panel from the dies, on Smoky Slate so it would stand out a little from the Granite. Just so well-designed! Trusty Tools Stamp Set; Trusty Toolbox DSP; Basic White, Poppy Parade & Smoky Slate CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Poppy Parade, Lost Lagoon & Crushed Curry Inks; Trusty Tools Dies; Matte Black Dots; #C4G338. Excellent - Cupcake Inspirations #585 has a color challenge for us this round, and it's a good one! As soon as I saw the gray and yellow, I knew this was my chance to ink up our new Bright Skies bundle - so cute! I love all the cloud die elements in this one, and the happy sentiments in the stamps! We could all use a little more sunshine peeking through, right? I did a little stamped scene with these smaller clouds, and some bright tulips growing below - just cheerful and quick! We're all just stamps, ink and paper today, though I did finish with a few Glossy Dots for more bright spots of color! Bright Skies Stamp Set; Basic White & Crushed Curry CS; Smoky Slate & Crushed Curry Inks; Bright Skies Dies; Daffodil Delight Glossy Dots; #CIC585. Since it's still a little chilly out, we'd like to see you feature some Winter Fun this round at Retro Rubber #222! When I think of winter fun, I can't help but think of the marathon sledding we used to do when I was a kid - we'd stay out for hours, and come home soaking wet! We used to dare each other to SIT on the wood stove for a few seconds, so we could hear our pants hiss while they dried, lol. Crazy! So while we never had a fancy flyer like this one (yes, we really did sled on garbage bags, lol), I knew I wanted to pull out my Alpine Adventure bundle and cut out one of these pretty sleds! I dressed it up with some markers and a little Timber embossing, added the tow rope, and I was set! This pretty sheet from the One Horse Open Sleigh pack was just right for my background! I can't wait to see YOUR winter fun cards - hope you can join us at the challenge! Alpine Adventure Stamp Set (retired 2018); One Horse Open Sleigh DSP; Basic White & Lost Lagoon CS; Lost Lagoon & Early Espresso Inks; Water Painter; Basic Black Stamp-n-Write Marker; Timber EF; Alpine Sports (retired) & Stitched Shapes Dies; Adhesive-Backed Snowflakes; #RRCB222. And we're back! Make My Monday # 217 is kicking off 2024 with a Birthday Card challenge! Time to restock! A set I really haven't played with very much is the Beautiful Balloons bundle - I was so in love when I spotted it in our annual catty, and then I just didn't do that much with it - so embarrassing! I also love the DSP that came out with it still, too - Bright & Beautiful. I chose this happy streamer sheet for my background, and made this fun trio of Berry Burst balloons to celebrate! I did my finishing details in a couple blues - Blueberry Bushel and Azure Afternoon - they go great with the Berry Burst! I can't wait to see YOUR birthday cards this rounds - hope you can join us at the challenge! Beautiful Balloons Stamp Set; Bright & Beautiful DSP; Basic White, Berry Burst, Blueberry Bushel & Azure Afternoon CS; Berry Burst & Azure Afternoon Inks; Beautiful Balloons Dies; Blueberry Bushel Tinsel Gems; #MMM217. |
