![]() OK, gang, time for one last class before I go to convention - woo hoo! This month, I thought we'd take a crack at lightening my retired stash of DSP and have a Rosette Wreath Extravaganza! I will make it WAY EASY for you! All you'll need to bring is a hot glue gun, if you have one - I will provide all other materials! (If you have one of the AWESOME silicone mats, you should bring that, too.) Help a sister out and come make a dent in my hoards! (that means buttons, gewgaws and ribbons, too, ACK!) My sample wreath is in a selection of yellows, but if you let me know what color or theme you want to highlight, I will make it happen for you! (Sorry, we can't ALL do yellow!) I've already made up sheet packs for 1 more yellow, greens, red/white/blue, game night, Fall, Halloween - the possibilities are almost endless, so just sing out! What decor are you missing? Let's fill it in! So, class will be held Thursday, June 20, 630 pm, chez Heroldt, or, for my day-trippers, Friday, June 21, 10 am. RSVP today with your color/theme choice (or just come and pick something out when you get here!), so I can be prepped and ready! ![]() PS. We will of course also be doing a SIMPLE card featuring one of the awesome new suites - "Six-Sided Sampler"- CASE'd from the new catty - what do you think? You didn't think I'd let that slip, did you?? PPS. I had time to do a restock the Sale Box too - lots of "new" retired sets to choose from at bargain prices - get them away from me!

![]() I decided for this week's Clean & Simple #243, it had been far too long since my last scripture card, and I really wanted to pull out something I hadn't used yet. I don't turn to Lamentations so much, but this reminder is such a celebration! And of course, lol, a constant reassurance that we will always need to hear. At least I know I do! I loved the designer's sample colors so much, I decided to "borrow" those, too - what a great sketch! ODB Scripture Collection 1 & Betsy's Blossoms (on envelope) stamp sets; Pool Party, Real Red, Whisper White & Bermuda Bay CS & inks; various Scallop Circle punches; Brights button; White Baker's Twine; Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border punch. ![]() In other HOT news, here is the latest "Best of" set for June - Best of Greetings! What a great mix - a little bit of everything! 8 stamps for $14.95, plus, of course, another sticker to save up for your free set! Click on the picture to view the full flyer! I also wanted to share with you the "official" Holiday Carry-Over list that Stampin' Up! just put out - I know we're all struggling a bit with not having any Winter Holiday stamps in the this lovely new catty. Go here to see what they're backing so far! Yay for ornaments and Merry Mini punches! LASTLY, there's a great video on using the new Magnetic Platform we've been chatting about - I'll have one for our next class for SURE after watching this! ![]() Besides a fun "Dude" class in honor of Father's Day, and of course, yummy snacks and loving fellowship, the most exciting thing about tonight's class is that I finally got to hand out our new 2013-14 Idea Book & Catalog! As usual, I also made a bookmark sampler of the new In Colors - Yummy! I even like the NAMES this year - Baked Brown Sugar, Crisp Cantaloupe, Pistachio Pudding, Strawberry Slush and Coastal Cabana! I took the opportunity to showcase one of my favorite suites from the new catty too: Mosaic Madness, along with the Modern Mosaic embossing folder and the Mosaic punch. Stampin' Up! really thought of everything! (Psst! You can find a discount-priced bundle of the stamp set and the punch on page 123! Yay for product bundles!) Here are tonight's class instructions as well - enjoy! ![]() So, with so many graduating seniors this week in our little gang, I figured we'd push a week for class, and have our first official class of summer! I'm pretty psyched to add another shadow box insert to our collection: here's one for Father's Day! You could make it say something else, too, if you wanted it to be more generic. Like maybe, "Dude!" That would be hiLARious! To go with, we also have two quick but dramatic cards, both designed with the idea of keeping them generically masculine, just in case you don't need a Father's Day card - what do you think? There are numerous images and sentiments to swap out very easily to meet your needs! So, RSVP today for our All About the Guys Class, Thursday, May 30, 630 pm, chez Heroldt; or, if you need a day class, Friday, May 31, 10 am, also chez Heroldt! And just to put another bug in your ear, your gift this month is your brand spankin' new 2013-14 Idea Book & Catalog - I have them waiting for you already! Can't wait to see you all! ![]() OK, here's the final "Seriously" card - I promise! Yay! The bad news is I still have one card left in the "Hey There" kit, that has to go, too. I ought to finish just in time for the May kit to arrive, huh? I think I will resolve to do one kit card a week from now on, so they don't end up laying around. OTOH, I'm really loving transforming these cards by applying the different sketch challenges to them - the sketches really do give you boundless flexibility! So, victim #4, I mean, lucky recipient #4 is Paper Craft Crew Sketch #40 - how'd I do? It IS a funny little exercise to impose these kinds of conditions on myself, lol, but hey, sometimes it just has to be done. One thing I do love about the Paper Pumpkin kits is that they have great bones for the more avid stamper, while they still can be totally stand-alone for the novice. So far, I've also gotten cute accessories that I didn't actually already have - like the great nickel buttons in the "Seriously" kit. Good times! April 2013 Paper Pumpkin -Seriously; plus, More Mustard & Old Olive CS; Ovals Collection framelits; Occasions piercing template; Regals DSP pack on envelope-Not Quite Navy; Old Olive & Not Quite Navy inks. ![]() Good grief - Stampin' Up! is pouring on the specials again this month! The first is a cool new bundle offer - TWO new photipolymer sets, called "show & Tell 1", and "Show & Tell 2," bundled with a new online class called "seeing The Possibilities," all for $35.95! That's a good deal - you'll get 64 stamps plus the class - wow! I think I might need to sign up for this one myself... Click on the picture to the right to see the full flyer for all the details! ![]() And, we also have the May "Best Of..." set ready just in time for Spring - Best of Brides & Babies! Click on the picture to go to a full-size flyer! ![]() So, do you detect a little theme going on at my desk this week? That's right, this is the Paper Pumpkin Clean Out around here! My resolution? To do my usual round of sketches, and ONLY use Paper Pumpkin - no more hoarding! It's my new-catalog-is-coming resolution! When I saw this week's Sunday Stamps #46 - I wasn't sure I could keep my resolution - could I really make the pieces work? Yes! Especially when you consider the leftover pieces, too - this sketch was PERFECT for that! April 2013 Paper Pumkpin - Seriously; Regals DSP on envelope, More Mustard. ![]() The Bloomin' Bouquet Project Kit! Mother's Day. Teacher appreciation. Just because. Say thank you with this no-maintenance bouquet. There's no watering, no weeding-just enjoying. This easy-to-assemble kit comes complete with the petals, stems, and buttons to create the flowers, as well as four different tags to make this the perfect gift for any occasion. All you need is some paper, ribbon or a vase to add the finishing touches to the bouquet. As if that weren't enough, the kit contains a "baker's dozen"! This means you can create and give (or keep) a dozen flowers, and have a bonus flower left over to pass along to someone new! Give it to someone you wouldn't normally think of: a teller at the bank, a grocery store clerk, or the librarian at your local library. I've got two lists for you: go here for the retired stamps, and here for retired accessories. As always, all items are while supplies last, so make sure to get what you can't live without while you still can! And check over the accessories list carefully - some great sale prices on there! As usual for this time of year, my stampin' studio looks like an attack of the polka dot monster - that's how I mark my retiring sets - with a sticky dot - sigh... Argh! I see a stamp sale in our future, ladies! ![]() I had a little quest this month looking for candy that had an orange wrapper that looked like it might go with Tangerine Tango - Jer's Squares wins! We'll be making this cute shadow box insert with 5 different dresses - mine says "Mother," but you could do a different word if you prefer. There's also a coordinating card, that you can put a Happy Mother's Day wish on the inside of, and last, a quick and simple "corsage" of the Creped Filter Paper from the Spring Mini catalog, that has a gift card base to go with. The coolest thing is that you can color your corsage with Color Spritzers in whatever color you want! How cool is that??
